Please no explosions or action filled keep the heart from the teaser trailer and show a little bit of action
So, the trailer is rated PG? I wonder what the previous trailers were rated. I think that in the UK, the film (when it is relased) will likely get a 12A rating.
Who rates trailers? Why? Is this the same rating the film will be? I was hoping for a little Wheelie leg humping...
In UK, Transformers (2007) trailers were all PG. ROTF, DOTM, AOE trailers were 12 or 12A (higher than PG), Couple of trailers for TLK were PG while the rest were 12 or 12A.
Film Classification boards rate trailers that usually go in front of movies. The rating of a trailer should not exceed the rating of the movie it is shown in front of. Therefore, the rating system for a trailer is the same as a movie for that country or region. However, the final movie may contain a different rating. For example the trailers for Transformers (2007) were PG and were ok to be shown in front of movies with PG rating or higher. But the actual movie was later rated as PG-13. In Canada, even the trailers that are released online are rated.
Trailers are rated to determine what films they can be shown in front of. For example, Deadpool had a PG-13 trailer and a 'Red Band' Trailer. The first could play in front of Pg-13 and R rated films while the other only R rated films. It also determines what trailers can air on tv... most times a trailer MUST be PG to PG 13. That's why you'll see at the end of a tv trailer "Check out the redband trailer now at (insert website name)"
Gotcha. But when I think of highly anticipated trailers, I think Superbowl. In that case theres no movie rating to tie the trailer to, plus plenty of beer commercials, scantily clad cheerleaders and an occasional wardrobe malfunction. So this is why I never even contemplated trailers needing a rating.
Ugh are we really going to have like 7 different trailers for this movie like we did for the Last Knight
