See MakeToys... was it REALLY THAT HARD to fill in the bottom of the wings??? Sheesh!!!

Now can someone (either MakeToys or some other 3P accessories brand) make some fillers for the original 3 Seekers wings?? PLEASE!!!!???

 

I don't really like those wings up on Dirge.
I kinda wanna see that Ramjet in SG Dirge colors. I just really want an SG Dirge :<

Also the wings on the Coneheads are different from the main seekers.

 

These are some nice-looking molds, Maketoys. I bet they will cost some money to produce.

How about this... you release Galaxy Lightning and Galaxy Skycrow, I'll give you money for those, and then that money can be put into making these guys! Deal?  

 

The blame can go on Takara, as well. They released many MP-11 molds as well as the new MP+ line with totally new molds only belonging to BW Megs and MP Sunstreaker as of this year. If I missed a new mold, I didn't mean to.

Maketoys has killed it with the seekers and coneheads and many collectors are dumping Has/Tak's for these. I'm assuming if these were released or teased a couple of years ago, many more would have bought these over Has/Tak. But, Maketoys will hurt since many collectors that want these are settling for the expensive official versions they already purchased. I was in that group but said "fuck it." These are too good to pass up on.

I do agree that other characters should be made. But, G1 does get the most catering.

I like your seasoned analysis, especially the ‘fuck it’ part, I find that the prime mover in most of my TF purchasing decisions (along with ‘can’t hurt,’ and ‘well, the money will just go to the wife otherwise’) ...

Wow, these guys look better with each phase of production. Damn! After spending $600 on the iGear set a few years ago and selling them for the YM versions last year I thought I was done with the Coneheads. Can't wait to see how the faces will look when painted. If I should feel the need to get these 3 then I'll have to buy MT Skywarp and Thundercracker too...

These look great! I\'m kinda\' glad I\'ve been to poor to get other \"MP\" seekers. It forced me to wate for these. I\'ll be picking them up.

 

Iron Factory's looks better than this. Too plain and cartoony.

 

I didn't really like Meteor but these guys look much better to me in this style! I'll have to pick them up.

 

It\'s super messed up that these guys have their shin thrusters but the non-coneheads do not.

 

C'mooooon G2 Ramjet!

 

There's a couple of very important points you missed here. First, Seekers and even Coneheads are far more popular than those second or even third tier characters you named. Even the third or fourth version of Starscream is almost guaranteed to be a better seller than G2 Dreading, let alone random Insecticons.
And the second point is that a single Seeker design translates to three main seekers, potentially 3 to 6 Rainmaker/other decos, then with minor remoulding, three Coneheads. The seeker mould is hands down the most potentially profitable mould in Transformersamd finally, the characters that 3P are "redoing" at least for MP are ones where the original is deeply flawed (Hot Rod, seekers and Coneheads, sideswipe, red alert) no one's rushing out to redo Soundwave because the MP is already awesome.

Sir, you are correct; the Coneheads have different wings than the main seekers... that the lower sides of the wings are positioned to the front, making it visible. What I meant was, I'd really wish MakeToys will just simply have designed wings that did not have the emptiness in them. I can be wrong on this, but it's hard for me to think that making "full" wings would be that much more complicated. And I can be wrong on this.

Their prototypes showed "filled/complete" wings. So why not follow through with that design?

And you are right, I have not been on the Meteor thread that much, so I may have missed some news or information on it.

These are looking pretty cool, though I'd be even more interested if they were planning to give them each their distinct weapons. At the moment they all seem to have something that's halfway between Ramjet's cluster bombs and Dirge's insert-name-here weapon.

I finally decided to pick up Meteor the other day, so if I like him when he arrives then there's a pretty good chance that I'll get their Ramjet at least. Probably will never get an MP Dirge or Thrust, 4 of one mold that size is already a bit excessive for me! But I'm basically finished with the MP Decepticons that I plan to get if I get the original three jets at least, and Ramjet has always been my favourite jet so gets in too.

Ewww....those little ass heads. But seriously, wasnt the whole claim to fame for this mold supposed to be the collapsing tailfin kibble on the Starscream version? Obviously the coneheads dont need that so whats the point? Whos going to buy these?
