I now have 4 1/2 FT Dinobots either in hand or on order (got Cesium in my stack, not sure if I will keep him or go with Scoria).

 

I ended up keeping both. Scoria feels more premium in hand and scales with Grinder better. Cesium looks more toon accurate, but is a tad too tall for Grinder. I currently have it with Reximus prime and it fits perfectly. I'm actually debating on getting two sets of dinos and mixing matching a bit:

Set 1 (ALL FT):
Grinder
Scoria
Stomp
Soar
Sever

Set 2:
Reximus
Cesium
GP Graviter Metallic
Soar or GP Gaudenter Metallic
Sever or GP Guttur Metallic

I think most of the dinos look pretty solid, but I lean FT due to looks. Saying this, I despise GT's slag. I doubt I'll follow through with two sets, but I also don't see myself parting with either FT Slag, Grinder, or Reximus. I usually don't keep two of a character, but these are hard to part with.

 

I got both!! IMO both Cesium and Scoria have their strengths.

 

It is just that neither is quite right. I will probably just live with Cesium as I hear of too many problems with Scoria. What do you think of each?

Also, I will continue to be a broken record and continue to ask, when will Toyhax make a repro set for Cesium?

I still have both, Scoria is better built, Cesium has some thin plastic going on around the back panels etc. He also feels slightly hollow for his size. On the other coin, he is perfectly fine and does fit better with the rest of the dinos.

overall I have kept Cesium with the rest.

 

I like the face sculpt on Cesium better. I just don't like the way there is hardly any space in the gun trigger guard or the index finger.
I like Scoria's die-cast heft and transformation.

I have no idea when a Toyhx/Reprolabels set for Cesium is coming. I've been waiting for them to do a set for Sovereign for the longest.

 

Soar and Stomp at home, Cesium in my Stack at TFSource; Grinder pre-orderd at TFdirect and Sever pre-ordered at BBTS. So, not all in hand, but all accounted for.

Dude have fun building your Dinobot army. I love mine. They are just so badass.

 

They are freakin' huge.

I just put Stomp on my Autobot shelf (Soar is on his flight stand, sitting on my humidor while I do some game room remodeling). In hand Stomp looks big. On the shelf, he makes my MP Autobots look like midgets.

BBTS & TFS both have Grinder reissue up for pre-order, in case some didn't know by chance. I originally pre-ordered it from Show.Z, trying to cancel & get from TFS.

 

Just saw your post. I’m in the opposite boat and am looking for a Grinder X.

I preordered a standard Grinder. Assuming no new chromed Grinders get released send me a message if you’d like to do a swap. My other 4 Dino’s are Xs.

 

I'm sure someone will be willing to buy your Grinder X for a reasonable price or at least trade their regular Grinder for your Grinder X.

 

Don't you think it's a good idea if a 3rd party made some items so we can combine FT Dibots?
Grinder is so bulky that we won't have any problems like the Hasbro version skinniness.
But they do have to make it so we can combine Scoria or Cesium on Vulcanicus.
Scoria would look much better though, since he's more long and Cesium is more round and bulky.

 

I got a grinder x with all the others being original and they look fine together for me. If I could go back I'd get all the x versions but I'm not gonna go back and hunt for them and have two sets.

 

I have Soar X and the rest are normal versions.
Looks fine to me since he's also the only one with a blue chest.

Having Grimlock looking different then the others is also not a bad thing since he's the leader.
At least it's easier to see who's the leader.
