There is a reason it's cheap. They basically get to ship it wherever they need to to alleviate a packed hub. I was beaten multiple times, but it stands.

It's because they ship FedEx. It can't just go from Somerset to St Paul. It has to travel to the otherside of the Twin Cities to the FedEx distribution center then travel back to St Paul where it is passed off to the postal service and then gets delivered to me. It's frustrating but what do you expect for $4?

Their $4 flat shipping fee doesnt apply to me but it doesnt bother me. I'd rather pay for priority shipping and know the package will arrive in 3-4 days.

Try this for most efficient shipping. Happened to a friend of mine.

Package decided to take a world tour to get from Florida to Helsinki.

Went from Florida to Kentucky to California, back to Kentucky to Germany to Finland to Sweden, back to Florida, then back to Finland

So did it earn frequent flyer miles? I don't want to know what the condition of the box was by the time it reached its final destination. All I can think of is the first part of Ace Ventura when he goes to delivery the package and steal the dog.

I expect speed, a personal handwritten note from Joel, goodies and a kit kat.

    Because entitlement.

I get similar results. Goes from Bbts, southeast to small OH town maybe 50 miles west of me, sits there, (deliberately?) for 3-4 days, then back further west to Detroit area, then finally on to me here. The whole process is the same each time, and generally takes a week. Still, the item is within 50 miles of me maybe 5 days before it finally arrives. For 4 bucks you cant complain too much, but the route sure is baffling.

Yep, BBTS is like a half hour drive from where I live but $4 Donkey Post doesn’t care what your proximity is. If it’s cheaper for the donkey to walk to Florida first then dammit that donkey is going to Florida.

I’ve ordered from BBTS and HLJ on the same day and had my EMS Japanese goodies in hand before the $4 donkey even left the barn. But then EMS gets delivered by rocket powered snow monkeys so you get what you pay for.

Like, high speed 2 day delivery? No.

But for $4 shipping from a company located IN the U.S.? I expect it to arrive a LITTLE faster than the order I placed on the same day with a Chinese Ebay seller offering free shipping. Unfortunately, it didn't. Both ordered the 1st. Both arrived on the 11th. For the record, there was no savings from BBTS - the Chinese seller did have the same figure for the exact same price - I just thought that ordering locally from BBTS would get it here a little quicker. I was incorrect.

So that's what I expect for $4 - shipping at least a LITTLE faster than sending something all the way from China.

Other way around. FedEx SmartPost and UPS SurePost contract with USPS for last mile delivery. Last mile is actually the hard/expensive part so that's why it's dumped on the federal mail service.

They used to have local pickups but I can't imagine they had enough customers nearby to maintain staff availability just for local pickups.

    BBTS shipping be like...

No really, that's my BBTS shipment today, taking a sight-seeing detour to the east. o_O  :(   :D
Though it could also be FedEx. They hate to deliver a package early. They're like, "It's in Phoenix already?! We need to fill two more days! Send it to Tennessee!"
