I ordered my Cygnus from them last week. Shipping is a week.. A WEEK! I could understand if it was coming from somewhere far away or maybe another country. Hell, I got a shipment from Italy in under a week from an Ebay seller.

Let me break it down and see if anyone else is having this issue or is perplexed by this stupidity.

    I'm located in Milwaukee, WI.

It starts in St. Paul, MN. via FedEx.
They send it to Burbank, IL just south of Chicago.
    From there to Chicago.
From Chicago to New Berlin, WI (a short 10 minute drive from my home.)
At this point it gets transitioned to the USPS for delivery, maybe tomorrow, but planned for Friday.

It's an 8-9 hour drive round trip to St. Paul, MN from Milwaukee. I could've had it, taken it back, got another, taken that back, and so on like a dozen times already. Why the complicated shipping system? Why no direct MN to WI option? Anyone?

It gets sent out with everything else being shipped. If it makes it into the wrong bin it takes a trip. There are many factors which can make your package go elsewhere and come back to you

    Smartpost?

If so, then it takes whatever route has the least package flow.

Yes. If you use their standard cheap shipping, the packages routinely do all sorts of weird sh$%t. I usually pay for the more expensive shipping (which of course still doesn't help it taking days for things to leave the warehouse, typically).

    For $4 you expect speed?

Makes sense to me. You paid for the $4 shipping, aka the slow shipping. It's heading in generally the right direction. You want something faster sitting for priority mail next time.

It’s a cheap service used by post office called smartpost. They hire Fedex to pickup from the post offices , sort and then deliver to the post office. Then the post office delivers to your home.

Once, when I ordered from TFSource. I had to contact them because it was in IL then suddenly it was in California. So I was like why and they confirmed my address. They didn't even understand the reason. So yeah...sometimes it can actually be put in the wrong shipment and it is taken elsewhwere. Then suddenly shipped back to you. I once saw a lady complaining about a similar thing. Then the people behind here waiting in line were making fun of her because she was being a bitch about it. It was also most likely...wasn't very nice to the post people.

I guess I'm in the minority here who thinks that there can't be more items going from Minnesota to the smaller Burbank, IL over large hubs like Milwaukee or Chicago, but whatever.

Even Priority isn't a guarantee, as a package I shipped Priority on Monday that is going to California, left NY Monday morning, went to MA that evening, came back to NY yesterday morning, and went back to MA early this morning.

There probably aren't. But you apparently aren't reading the replies as someone already told you sometimes Smartpost routes packages through the SLOWER distribution centers. There are all kinds of reasons for this logistically. It happens. You got your toy. The shipping route and time had nothing to do with BBTS. Enjoy your toy.

You chose shipping that companies use for non priority items. If a hub is full, it will send it to one that isnt.

Next time, if you want it quicker, pony up the extra $3.

    Yup.

Seems like you got what you paid for. You pick cheap shipping, you get the confusing routes because your package is lumped with other low-priority packages moved in bulk by the most economic route for the shipping company.

Yeah...I just shipped Priority to Toledo...I'm in Detroit...It ended up in Omaha before going where it needed to be...and...Toledo from Detroit isn't far...I had family that drove back in forth for work...both ways (Cousins/a Neighbor lived in Detroit and worked in Toledo...and...Uncle/second-Cousin lived in Toledo and worked in Detroit) when I was young...the mail service is very random...regardless of what you pay ...I think the more you pay...it slightly decreases the randomness... :)

Shut, I live less than an hour from BBTS and sometimes it takes a week to get my order from them after shipping.

I pay more just to have them not drive my stuff around and actually bring it direct.

Nope...you can't visit. They're strictly online even thought they have a building (looked it up on google maps once). It's a big warehouse.

Not really, supposedly you can arrange to pick up you're order from their warehouse but I've never done it.
