If the show wasn't so damn BORING!!!!!! It took more forever to complete episode 1 this season. I'd watch it and fall asleep. Re-watch it, pass out again. Replay the damn thing again, finally completed it, but don't remember much. Episode 2 I think I'm half way through it...I cant remember. Transformers Robots in Disguise was waaaaaay more engaging. So much better writing, and as you know, that's not saying a lot. I am so perplexed as to why Hasbro wont get serious about a good Transformers cartoon. Obviously they have the voice actors, the talent and the artwork. If this Prime Wars Trilligy was a full 20-30 min 22 episode seasonal it would have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much better. I am completely lost on this. Anyhow, I hope I can finish ep 2 and ep 3 to finally see Optimus Primal in ep 4. Sounds like it would be cool.
objectively go90 does not suck, the site is decent and the video player works just fine plus its free. the only reason it "sucks" is because its the inconvenience of having to go to an additional website/app that people dont usually use
I was baffled at how slow the fight between Predaking and Volcanicus was why must Machinima shoot themselves in the foot so much.
For a series of ten minute episodes, people are awful critical. Would Star Saber have "fit" better than a Beast-Era character? Probably, but the story would not have changed at all. I enjoying seeing the battle-weary Megatron like this. He's at the point where its about survival and will do things his way to achieve them. You left out a few "happy happy" and "complain complains" In the end, this introduces characters who are getting toys. As much as people like or dislike the show, toys will be bought.
People complain about the pacing of each episode but aren't they parts of a whole and meant to be watched as a movie when completed? Personally I've enjoyed the entire Machinima Trilogy. It's been great to see Judd Nelson reprise his role as Hot Rod and Megatron's portrayal goes without saying. I'm just not seeing the train wreck most people are seeing. For one thing it's great to see the traditional Transformer look from G1 rather than the stylised aesthetics of the last 11 years though Megatronus' look does irk me as it reminds me of Animated Headmaster. I've rewatched the other 2 chapters and enjoyed them, something I couldn't do with G1 Season 2, Animated and any Prime episode centering on Bulkhead or Miko. I'm not attacking those who like them, they're just not for me. The only thing that has disappointed me with the Machinima Trilogy was some of the voice acting. Starscream and Overlord aren't great though not enough to ruin my enjoyment. Menasor though...he's been my favourite Decepticon Combiner since childhood but every time he opens his mouth in this I cringe. I wish they'd gotten his voice actor from the Devestation game. I've no problem with Ron Perlman as Primal. As much as I love Beast Wars, the Unicron Trilogy really soured me on Gary Chalk. No reflection on the man I just hear the bland acting of the show when he speaks. It's nice to see Predaking portrayed intelligently as his bio always depicted him as one of the most successfully integrated Combiners. As for Primal being around since the beginning, Regeneration suggested the 'Demons' were being reformatted as Maximals at the end and they predated the Transformers. Not an explanation of where Primal came from, just saying it's not the first time the Beast Warriors were depicted as an older race.
Saw this episode, and now I'm sure ANY of the poll winners could be shoehorned into the exact same spot as OP. Except for Megatron. That would be weird to have Megatron meet himself, who had been waiting for a long time....
...How much of the budget for this show do you suppose is just straight-up cocaine? I'm thinking it's the writer's budget at least, but it could be more.
NO, Go90 has got issues, mostly it's video player. The player stops, crashes, black screens. Compare that to youtube video player where I have non of these issues. I get it that they want to keep the videos on their platform but honestly compared to youtube player it has a long way to go.
As a big Optimus Primal fan, I was thrilled when he won the PotP fan vote. I literally waited over a decade for Primal to make a comeback, even if it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to see him alongside Autobots and Decepticons (I know it's not the first time, but I never got used to it). While this is certainly not the worst way the character could've been handled, this Primal barely acts like the Maximal leader I grew up with. Distinct traits such as his "down-to-Cybertron" personality are barely present (which may fit his established background here, but it doesn't really suit him). You could switch Primal for any other bot and it would change very little (the comparisons with Optimus Prime are cute, but they rarely acted alike to begin with). I'm willing to wait and see if this new Primal will be more fleshed out later, but you have one chance at a good first impression and this episode misses the mark. It's not offensive by any means, but I'm not feeling any passion for the character, which is a shame. Hopefully this will change in future episodes.
Unfortunate that they spent so much time with Predaking and the dinobot combiner (can’t remember his name, don’t care enough to look it up), instead of showing the whole fight with Primal. The slow Predaking fight we’ve seen already (3 or 4 times before... I stopped counting). Finally a chance to show something different, and no... they go back to Predaking. Is Machinima trolling us?
A little confused. Are you tired of the happy comments, the complain comments, or is it all opinions you are tired of? How about this?
I hate to say this but it seems like the these trilogy stories are written by the computer animators of show instead of designated writers.
I'm leaning toward them being written by the writer's children, a boy about 10 years old and a daughter about 8 or 9. That is why they all end up being friends.
These fight scenes are hilarious. Volcanicus got stuck in a hole that was large enough for grimlock to stand up in. I thought the titans fighting was slow but apparently even the combiners are just at sloth movement speed too. This is so bad. I wish I could stop watching this but I just can\'t.
