If u have both CWOptimus and ratchet, 4 stars with rank 4 at least, first rok is fairly easy. You only need to use Optimus and he can take care 90% of the bots there, even with class disadvantage against mixmaster and megatron.
You also need one anti bleed bots because of bonecrusher, which CWOptimus cant out heal.

The one bot gave everyone trouble is mirage. like wasp in spotlight he applies shock damage stacks with range shots, so prepare to revive/heal several times. Windblade, mirage grimlock are recommended for this fight, high sig soundwave helps too

 

Tip for using galvatron, try to charge dark energon to full as much as possible. Use s1 after connect with a combo if you still have charges running.
This will give you a very good chance to stun the ai bot. At that time very often your charges are still running so you can follow up with 1 or 2 heavies with bonus dark energon damage. (Only follow up the stun with regular combo if you have no charges running)

 

You should definitely be able to clear hard. I think you also mentioned you had a 4* Magnus? I’d recommend putting some levels into him, aswell (You can get 2 alpha sparks for 100% completion on medium, and 1 for easy). He’s worth it for his armour buffs and break abilities. I think you’ll find him quite useful. You’ll also get an 8% attack rating increase when you have him and Galvy on the same team.

I’ve asked you a few times now, but you haven’t responded yet. Have you read that post and watched that fighting video? That will help you clear hard. Just practice in arena/medium level special mission.

 

I did watch the video. I definitely will take the advice under consideration.

As for Ultra Magnus, he’s only on Rank 2. (Galvatron is on max level of Rank 3 which is why I need the T2 Alpha Spark to Rank him up)

How do I get Tier 2 alpha sparks to level my Tier 4 bots? I mean, even if I get close tot he medal ranks to get them from the store, I might get raided or fail a raid and loose medals in the process.

That video is actually really descriptive and there’s a reason it’s circulated through so many alliances.

If you keep getting caught by their hits, you’re not keeping enough distance between you and the opponent and waiting for openings. These fights are going to take quite a bit longer (it’s not uncommon to use up all 5 minutes on the timer on minibosses during AM, for example) and you’ll have to be patient if you want to avoid getting hit. If you try and rush in and end it as quickly as possible, they are going to KO you every time. Even with r4/r5 bots, you won’t get too far just trying to bulldoze your way through the game. Some strategy is necessary.

These techniques aren’t going to come instantly, especially if you’re used to just using brute force to get through the fights in the past. Bring the techniques to Arena and practice them there. When you’re facing the easier opponents, just focus on dancing around the battlefield before you even try to take a single strike. Once you get used to that, it’ll start falling into place.

 

If your game isn’t responding to your commands, it could be a software issue.

I’m running it on an iPhone 8, and it can get VERY laggy.

Also after forced updates (the ones they usually do before new missions, not the ones you download from the App Store), the controls can get very sluggish.

 

I don’t think it’s the software and I have had no lag issues at all. It’s probably just me (not afraid to admit it) because I’m used to, as you said, brute force. (Which is also my method for Pokémon when I play my copy of Ultra Moon)

But I will keep trying these techniques and hopefully it pays off for me in the long run.

Also I’m hoping I get 4-Stars of the rest of my main team eventually. My usual team is Galvatron, G1 Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave, so hoping I get 4-stars of them soon.

EDIT: Personally, that’s why I wish a “Trade Bots” feature was available.

Definitely Soundwave. The fact that he can actually Mirror Force your opponent’s attacks is a powerful ability.

 

Finally made it through that hell that was Hard Mode Spotlight Mission and I just have to say...

Next question: How the Hell do I get T3 Demolitions Spark essence?!

 

Move onto fully exploring Expert spotlight mission to get half a T3 class crystal, so you'll need to 100% 2 Expert missions to get 1 RANDOM T3CS. It's super annoying

Ancient Sanctum crystals are worse, 1000 essence of any class per pull

 

If you figure it out let me know too, I have 9 four star bots in need of a T3 Sparks.
