I'm pretty happy with Skids' height.
He looks about carbot height, which seems right to me.

Yeah, I spoke too soon on this one. When I got home I compared my BC Outback to some carbots and Skids looks pretty comparable. So Despite a few niggling reservations about the sculpt I'm back to being pretty psyched for this guy.

Is this X-Transbots next release or is there another stunticon coming out first. The release date on TFS-Express says July but would there not be more images of a nearer to completion figure? On another point has X-Transbots hinted at a Perceptor figure (or any other 3rd party for that matter)?

 

Haven't (or should that be 'savant') a clue but we need a better Perceptor.

According to iBot, they are taking their time with Savant because he's paint over plastic and they want to ensure that they get it just right. Anticipate Toro very soon, then Flipout with Deathwish (Dead End) to follow fairly soon after. No word yet on when Savant is dropping.

 

If they give him the build quality and engineering of breakdown and a great paint job he'll be amazing

Toro/Coprimozzo (Cliffjumper/Hubcap) are XTBs next releases and then Savant. We have seen the test shot and the packaging. I think you will see a test shot of Savant by the first week of July and it will probably be out a month from now. After that is Flipout (Wildrider) which looks done now and Deathwish (Dead End). After that we should get Neptune (Seaspray) and Overheat (Dragstrip). iBot (Keith of XTB/KFC) throwed some hints out about Perceptor, Blurr, Broadside, and Sandstorm but I am not sure they are serious about those figures. Maybe the triple changers. I have FT Tesla and like the figure but a lot of people have asked for a better version.

 

Toro/Coprimozzo (Cliffjumper/Hubcap) should be dropping just about any day now.

 

OK, gotcha. I thought Keith had said Savant's release time frame was undetermined due to them taking extra care with him, but if you have something more concrete than my vague memory of events then by all means.

I'm pretty sure XTB would turn out a great Sandstorm. At the very least it couldn't be worse than UT's version.

 

I have mentioned this before but I think iBot sees a whole group of figures at the same stage of done and then some hiccup happens with one and another is closer to done so although they had an order of release they run with the one closest at the time. This happened because of the backlog and developing several figures at the same time rather than logically a couple at a time. Next year and in the future, I think you will see a better run more predictable release schedule once the backlog is removed. The Stunticon limb theft effectively made them repeat last year and they want off the merry-go-round. Think of it, MX-XVII will be out before MX-IV. Keith never planned it that way. These are part of the growing pains we have seen with this industry.

Barring Takara pulling a Perceptor out of thin air, that would be a good sell for them, being FTs kind of looks like poo.

 

I would very much like to see someone attempt Sandstorm, and certainly agree XTB would put out something better than UT's, though admittedly that is a pretty low bar. Astrotrain first though! I wasn't impressed with XTB's attempt at Blitzwing, but I think they could still do a pretty good job at Astrotrain. In fact, didn't Keith hint at some point that he was on the radar, though not officially in development?

I asked him on june the 10th if it was still being released next month , his exact words below so i doubt it will be released in july
