There are a few reasons I'm debating the purchase now. We were not originally told that the new head wouldn't come with the figure, there are parts that were shown originally that are no longer there, there is QC issues popping up already, and the paint doesn't look clean. Figures are held to a bit of a higher standard when they cost ~ 100 buck (CDN). Not saying I'm 100% out, i just need to see it in the hands of an English speaking reviewer and get in hand thoughts.

So I’ve been in correspondence with TFS Express in the uk, because that’s who I ordered from, and they just got back to me saying they’ve been in touch with tfevo and fisherman apparently doesn’t work for them...
So either TFE have disowned him due to his openness or he actually has been an undercover UT saboteur this whole time! The plot thickens ever further.

 

Lol. I was kinda wondering about that. Everyone just assumes he's a rep because he's speaking knowledgeably on the boards. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Maybe he just knows a bit about TFevo's business. Maybe he's just stirring shit. Or maybe he really is the rep but TF Express don't know.

Look like 3P movie toys are now jinxed.

Waters are too cloudy for me and all the recent movie toy related QC blunders from different companies have made me cautious about ordering anything Bay related. Will wait for multiple in hand reports on future releases before forking money on movie toys.

Hope for the best for those that already have their copy in transport.

Rep or not Fisherman seems to know/have access to way more info than anyone else. And if he ISN'T their PR then I don't have to feel bad about not getting this guy haha. Only thing drawing me in was the communication.... DX9 LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!!

 

I'm not convinced this will be as bad as everyone thinks. Chinese fans are always extremely picky and whiney and this fandom tends to jump to conclusions very fast. We already have people going around declaring it's a disaster without ever touching it and without any indication from the video reviews. I mean, wobbly tires and a missing calf piece (that is very small)? Whoopty do. I'll give it a shot, and if it does suck, I'll be more cautious with them next time  

 

Pretty much. Hell, I have the LT-02 KO of MPM-04 that everyone is terrified to transform because he falls apart - he's fine as a shelf warmer. Even better, I bought Bold Forms Gladius, who's basically the polar opposite of a "Masterpiece" G1 Megatron. That thing will explode if I even look at it wrong.

Oh well... I preordered it from TFsource, so I still have time to cancel it and spend on another thing... MP Dinobot or a second Challenger are my options for now.

Well, would TFE know him as "Fisherman?" That's just a screen name.

 

Fisherman assured us it would be released on whatever day he said and it was. He also said we would get orange stickers to put over the black part and we did. Lastly, everytime we asked for pictures, he delivered, even getting us a video. I'm fairly certain he's involved with TFEVO in some way.
