The front portion of it splits in four to become the cannon weapon on his right arm. Obviously this is difficult to replicate at a small scale (especially without partsforming), hence why it's just dangled off of him somewhere on all his figures...

...Holy hell, really? That's... unique. Don't get why he'd trade a 120mm cannon for some sort of machine gun when he already has a freaking M134 on his other arm, but at least I know where the main gun goes now...

Just dangled off him somewhere? Every single toy of Brawl except this Voyager have the tank cannon positioned under the right arm, either directly attached to it or as a rear-hip mounted weapon. Even the miniature legends size figure (what Hasbro would now call the Cyberverse size) folds the tank barrel inside his right arm (which also means you can unfold it and invert the arm for a tank cannon mode).

Sure, leaving it "unfragmented" isn't accurate, but it at least looks intentional being a tank's main weapon reoriented for use in robot mode how the leader and deluxe did it. And the legends figure actually did incorporate a joint to stow it inside the arm and out of the way entirely. Without the physical figure in hand, it's hard to determine WHY the voyager's cannon has to be left visible between his legs instead of something as simple as telescoping into the back kibble ala Generations Warpath's chest cannon, but the fact they did NOTHING, not even so much as partsforming to move that barrel, is questionable.

Seeing that video of Brawl honestly kinda killed my hype for the figure. I was already kinda on the fence with him as, while it is lost somewhere in storage, I DO have the leader class already and this just..doesn't really compare. The arms are such a letdown (and people complain about Blackout's), the partsforming with the weapons is a bit of a bummer, it just...I dunno, I was really really hoping for more from him :/

I’m hoping there’s an easy way to mod the gun barrel so it’s not just hanging down like that. Ratchet’s back rack was easy to mod and it greatly improves the figure from an almost unforgivable flaw.

They could have at least made those weapons attach inside those arm panels to combine the bulk.

Whoa man... That's kind of what I meant, it's an odd addition to have it sticking out of his hip on the Leader figure (I always detach it) and it's undeniably cumbersome mounted on the Deluxe's arm (especially with the accurate weapon molded on the other end, like is he meant to have it rotated with a massive cannon pointing backwards down his arm?). I forgot that the Legends figure stowed it somewhere though, credit to that design.

Apart from the unfortunate hands, this looks like a good toy, and more accurate than the previous ones.

But poor Brawl..I just don’t care enough about him. Not as much as a Bonecrusher or Blackout, even though his scenes were awesome.

So the main turret doesn't move, the weapons parts-form, the gun barrel just hangs behind his legs, his hands are just part of a huge kibble block, and it's $30.
Just getting my facts straight before completely deciding against getting this and being perfectly content with my older Leader class and Deluxe versions.
Another disappointment as I was looking forward to this one as well. First Blackout, now Brawl. At least I have Starscream, which is quite nice, and Megatron to look forward to. For now.

Watched that "review"... the only real thing bothering me is the tank barrel hanging off his back. I'm sure I'll get used to it in hand.

It's actually split apart and becomes the quad barreled cannon on his arm. If you look at his final concept design you can see the shape of the barrel in the outer panels... I love the idea of that, but I also understand that will most likely never be fashioned into a toy. Not even a MPM Brawl. Which is why I don't mind how it lays on his back on SS Brawl.

    Love it!

No one has shown it off yet, so I'd imagine no ankle tilts on him?

Wow, that thumb in the video. Just stare at it for 15 minutes.

On a different note: Are there any good screencaps of Brawl from the actual movie? I can't seem to find any good ones on Google. I'm curious to rediscover what he _actually_ looked like.

I couldnt seem to get any decent screencaps but this concept art and cgi render both seem fairly close to his final movie design, the latter more so.

And then theres also this thing which is just about perfectly screen accurate from what I can tell.
