They are such fucking liars. They have it at $360, and claim that's 18% off the normal cost of $440.

Who falls for that shit? Whenever I see stores pull that it just pisses me off and assures I won't buy whatever it is from them.

Looks like the $439.94 they list it as being full price is the sum of all the parts at full price from their store. (69.99 x 5 and one @89.99)
So while not completely out of their ass, it's not the most straight-forward or what I would say "not misleading" way to list the new Monstructor recolor... It was $350 from the get-go as per The Chosen Prime.
FP, from what I can see, never said it was going to be $439.94; so absolutely, it's definitely misleading and something to just shake your head (or fist) at...

 

$440 is indeed the original price of all the dinoking pieces on their own. $350 is the discounted price FP decided on for the box set and it is indeed a discounted price, no matter how much whining and complaining there is in this thread. FP decided on the discounted price for the box set upon release.

If anyone believes the cost difference of 1 large box over the cost of 6 smaller ones is anywhere close to justifying a $100 discount then they are hugely missinfirmed on how manufacturing works.

There is actually very little money in this set as it is. This is being done solely for thise who have been asking for it. This is why it is being done the way it is. As I said previous, no big numbers, no tons of stock, no product to sit and wait on.

The $350 price is like a thanks to those who will support the set and for those who want it, flaws and all.

 

Yeah, I think the above few posts were more voicing disdain for TFSource marking it as “discounted” when the $350 is the original price from FP. Not picking apart FP at least that’s how I took it.
I’m super excited to be getting this in Monstructor colors, happy that FP is doing it, offering it cheaper than the other, and can’t wait!

 

You're not weird. Monstructor's colours are way better. Icepick and Bristleback in particular.

 

What are the odds that some company will make an IDW head for the combined mode of this set? If I was positive that it would happen, I'd be more enthusiastic about saving for this.

 

It has it... Or at least it resembles the IDW head.

 

The more I look at this, the more I want it. But it hurts to drop $350 on a figure. Not just this figure, but any figure in general.
And knowing that it's a limited release, I'll probably never get it if I wait...

 

@Chainlink in the same boat. Just a month or two ago I started on what I intend to be a pretty big culling, and buying this would be counter to my end goal of having lots less crowding the shelves. But it just looks so good, and I go ga-ga for bright, ridiculous color schemes.

I'm also still a Fansproject Fan. I know a lot of people are down on that these days, but fact is, for me, a lot of my favorite figures - ones that will survive the cull - are Fansproject figures.

Didnt DinoKing come out as bots first, then a year later FP came out with the first shell, the Pterodactyl shell first as a test sample or TFCon exclusive. Then eventualy all the shells were made as a limited run of 500 units.

 

Yep, you're right. I was looking at the pics on my phone and I couldn't tell that he actually does have the IDW head. Fansproject just guaranteed that they'll be getting my money.
