Just got Snarl and Sludge today, Volcanicus looks way better with all 4 limb bots. Not being very photogenic today, he wants to stomp Decepticons.

 

Got the last two today too. On another note Bought a second swoop as well and it seems a lot of them are defected and don’t peg together at the legs very well. My first swoop had these problems but the second one I bought was near perfect as an arm. The weight forces the pegs apart in leg mode though. It’s definitely worth picking up another copy to have a better arm.

I got sludge and Snal last night and completed my boy. I’m using some black KO PE hands and feet I got off eBay. Like $15 but I’m considering the “official” PE Dinobot art. Just the first one. The second that add on the bull looks more like it adds on fat to me.

 

I had a helluva time trying to figure out how Blot and Rippersnapper are retool mates. I got Rippersnapper last night and I’m holding him and staring at pics of blot saying “what is everyone talking about? They’re totally different!”

...they share waist and thighs. Took forever to notice that. Completely different otherwise. It’s like Chromdome and Blur from titans return.

May well be some other smaller parts, like the the fists or the struts linking the shoulders with the body in common too. Knees and internal lower legs parts. It looks like there's a frame which is blue on Rippersnapper which is reused on Blot in the paler purple. Both toys have other parts frames in the same colour.

Good call on using Slog's lances - I'd been thinking on what kinds of weapons would look good on Volcanicus. I might try the polearm from Tomy's Gransaurer on my side - we could use a few more awesome spear-wielding robots.

I like the final head for the raptor. Concept looks like a pachycephalosaurus.

 

Can't wait to mix the add-on parts to make him even more destructive; get me my parts now!

 

No add-on parts needed, just some creative posing of Grimlock's limbs for the transformation. (and a couple of added pegs and leftover Dinobot fists for security)

 

god damn it, the combiner's grown on me a lot. i just hate that they used the shitty g1-style dinosaur modes. i want realistically proportioned and detailed dinosaur modes, not dumpy ass duck grimlock and whatever snarl and slag are. swoop i can deal with, since there's no real good way to turn a realistic pterosaur into a chunky robot.

Yep, bring on the upgrade kits. My Volcanicuses (Volcanici?) need proper swords of their own!  

 

On the one hand, I *do* like the look of the combine mode with the upgrades....but I just dislike combining things with so many "extra" parts. On the other hand, I *do* like that I can get THIS look from it, with nothing but stock parts.

 

Perfect Effect hands/feet just delayed: May 30 ship date.
