I saw Hun-gurrr once in a Target about a month ago and passed on him because he had some annoying paint errors. Figured I'd just pick him up at another store when he showed up.

I have not seen him again.

And from the inflated online prices, it looks as if other people are having trouble finding him as well.

So I'm wondering what it means for collectors to not be able to get a torso combiner team member...

 

If I can’t get the team captain there’s no point getting the team. Ive got Ordin and love the set, but if these had been easy to find I’d probably have gotten the POTP Abominus. Sadly wave 2 hasn’t been released in this state so when I saw Hun-Grr once there was no incentive to buy.

 

I believe wal mart already started the clearance on potp, so it'll be hard to find for sure for those who haven't.

 

I'm not sure how I should vote, since I've picked up doubles of Hun-gurrr and Rippersnapper.



I'll absolutely be getting doubles of the rest of the Terrorcons. I suppose if I hadn't been able to find Hun-gurrr, I probably wouldn't have gotten any of the others, since I want a complete combiner. That's why I've set up Proto-Abominus with Dreadwind, Blackwing and Offroad subbing for the missing Terrorcons for now.

 

I don’t care what order I get them in, as long as I get them.

 

It's kind of stupid for me to comment on this thread since I have Hungrr, but honestly if I didn't, I would still buy the rest as I saw them. In my case I usually see them with like one or two weeks in between and I have only twice seen the entire combiner set of anybody at retail stores. Hungrr will start reappearing in the next month or so. If you want Abonimus, buy the pieces when you see them. However, I completely get why you didn't get him the first time. Bad paint is the worst. That and missassembly.

 

Thanks to board member Yaujta, I've got a Hun-Grrr and a Rippersnapper, so hell yeah im getting the rest!!!

 

The Terrorcons are a must for me, so I'll try for them all in any order.
I doubt Hun-Gurr is near saturation yet as he hasn't been released in many places.

 

I have Rippersnapper, at this point I WILL complete Abominus no matter how f*cked up the distribution is. Even if somehow Bigbadtoystore puts up the Wave 3 deluxes AND get them in before my Hun-Gurr preorder does, I will complete Abominus, I will get Hun-Gurr no matter the cost (okay the cost does matter).

 

i wouldnt panic, the thing is this, this line is meant to last all year long, so there is heaps of time for release

 

They put both of the boring ones in wave 2, so yeah.

 

I've already found the figure, but if I hadn't I would had gone for them regardless. Would have the figures in individual mode most of the time anyway.

 

Why is the wave 2 voyagers and Rodimus Unicronus impossible to find?

Litterally went to every target and walmart in 25 miles around my house. Zero. All wave 1, and now, Studio Series.

 

Seeing what Has/Tak has done with the Terrorcon`s really makes my mouth water  

 

I haven't seen Hun-Gurrr at all. I've seen Rippersnappers, but seeing that he's going to be shelf-warming, I can get him at a later time so I can worry about like SS Blackout or PoTP Snarl(who I'm also having trouble finding). I'll be worried once someone in the U.S. spots the Wave 3 Terrorcons though so yeah.

 

Relying on official product at normal retail is the suckiest thing everr. Even specialists sell out preorders.. Anxiety inducing...

Non official is easy peasy...

 

My fear is that wave 2 will be mostly skipped in favor of the Studio Series... So when SS dies down and retail starts ordering Gerenations again I’m afraid it’ll jump right to wave 3 or 4 with people missing out on the the bots they need. Like Hun-Gurr and Elita skipped, so the next new voyager you see on the shelves is that Inferno/Hotspot repaint... And all we’ll get is an “oh well” from the powers that be.

 

I think Yaujta is reasonably close but nobody here has carried anything wave 2 except the Harrisburg Walmart that got a single case of each size class back around February. Target just keeps stuffing the space with Studio Series Shard Monsters. All I see of POTP anywhere is a few PrimeMasters and occasionally a scout or two. Nobody even has a shelf tag for Leaders. Even though Optimus Prime is headlining the size class this time.

I was considering buying Sinnertwin at retail, just to have a combiner, after having preordered Jazz from Takara before brand mediocritization was confirmed. I went to AE for Moonracer and Darkwing when BBTS raised prices on wave 2 and then lucked into a single Elita at that Walmart. Unfortunately, I dawdled and missed AE's window for Slag and then Sinnertwin. Looks like that's it for POTP new molds, with Firestar being a minor retool of Moonracer. I might just give up since that combiner was going to look like a Frankenstein's monster anyway. Or I'll track down an Offroad, who knows.

But I was never planning to complete Abominus.

 

The Walmarts and Tagets in CT had Hun-Gurrr and Elita-1 in stock months ago. They were fairly plentiful on the shelves. I can't say the same for other Wave 2.
