from what i know he is reliable, but if you order from his store setup an account otherwise you wont be able to track orders and you wont get an order confirmation. alternatively you can order from his ebay store, johonsontony.

 

I got an order from them a month or so ago, no problems. It took a while but that's because I ordered right before/during CNY.

 

Cross posting from the ko gravity builder thread, got my boxset in yesterday and I love this guy! Only complaint is no combiner gun so I gave him one of the rifles from pc-18

 

Are the individual bots simplified?

 

That I do not know as I’ve never messed with the official gravity builder. From what I can tell, if they are simplified it is minimal

Yes, they are. Some more so than others. I had the set, bought them as they were released, but sold it as he just wasn't a good size for my collection.

 

NBK Devy is an ideal size for CHUG. He comes up a little too short to pass for MP.

For the price you'll pay, the quality isn't all that bad at all.

 

Sweet, so that confirms my suspicion of electronics. Not that I care one way or another, but it’s cool to know.

The shoulder joints clearly move on brackets. What's not clear is 1) whether there is shoulder rotation on that bracket, meaning that only the chestplate is restricting movement, and 2) can the bracket be positioned further out from the sides, so the chestplate doesn't collide?

Given that it has shoulder side motion, elbows and bicep swivel joints, it seems weird to leave out a shoulder rotation. It's also a bit hard to determine what the hip joints are like.

Too big for CHUG? Is the gestalt bigger than combiner wars superion?

 

Gravity builder is a bit bigger than a 5 bot cw combiner, which works for me since he’s got an extra member. Here’s a comparison shot with cw devy, sorry I don’t have a shot on hand with a cw scramble combiner (note it’s not my pic)
