Any chance someone has a link* to where the irked T-BEAST artist(s) talked about their reaction to toys being made (without their consent) based on their designs? Loved those art books and bummed (but not surprised) the artists weren't involved at all in the process of being translated into plastic. *tried giving it the old google/twitter search to no avail
What gimmick needs to stay dead? Fragging Prime powerizers!!!!! It was an unecesary electronic bit that ruined the weapons of almost every voyager class figure in that line, and necessitated that a lot of them be made of around 25% clear plastic. And yep totally get the headphones thing, was just walkin along, listening to this section of the podcast, when some lady standing in the middle of the walkway handed me a pamphlet on speciesism...
I haven't got a link handy anymore but as I understood it, it was just the artist who did the Primal design. Dunno how much it's a thing that's either lost to social media or was only ever shared 2nd/3rd-hand via social media.

I was looking for the thread to say the exact same thing - that stupid Prime gimmick ruined the weapons, the "glow" effect on translucent robot parts and/or the weapon parts failed miserably. After MechTech in DOTM they should have already known that it was stupid to not have any way to lock the weapons in their deployed state. It's like they specifically crashed and burned on every single feature of that whole bad idea.
As good as I expected Optimus to be, I'm not sure if it's comforting to hear the best studio series toy is basically someone at Hasbro looked at all the really nice KO upscales with improvements and said, "what if we did that?"
I'm so mad at everyone who owns the Legends Blitzwing because they own the black Shuffler repaint (Big Fight is his name). I've been trying so long to pick one up but everyone who owns it, falls in love with it. No one wants to sell just the Shuffler.
Is there going to more comic discussion as the IDWverse winds to it's conclusion. My brain hurts after OP 17 and 18, and I am wondering if bringing back Spoiler Shockwave with alternate dimension/time travel is a sign of the format and consequences of the end of this version of IDW's transformers. Maybe the end is a literal Spoiler apocalypse and we get a time travel/alternate reality reboot of the universe?
No. The current universe isn't being rebooted, like Marvel and DC. They've specifically stated that they aren't doing that. This series of comics is getting an ending, and then a brand new one will begin.
