All depends on what/who you want it to scale with. If it’s CW Devy for a CHUG display it’s fine. If you want it to scale with TW Devy for an MP shelf, it’s not fine.

Trying to match combiner heights is going to be quite the task. I’m looking at UT Briticus on my shelf and he’s the same size as CW Devy. XTB Menasor should be about the same but FT Superion will be a bit taller. Until I see better versions, that’s my projected lineup.

I thought Menasor was the same size as ZT Armageddon and TW Constructor.

I saw 49 cm for Menasor 19.25 inches. I thought Zeta stuff comes in around 21 inches and UT Bruticus is about 18 1/2. Dailanjj said FT Superion will be the biggest combined to date so 21 1/2-22?

There seems to be a lot of confusion on combiner heights lately so here ya go. I'm probably missing some.. anything smaller is in the 12-15" scale including Warbotron, Transformissions, GenerationToys, TFC etc.

    20" Combiners:
    • Zeta Bruticus
    • Zeta Superion
    • Toyworld Devastator
    • teased TW/possible Zeta Menasor
    • XTB Menasor (49cm/19.29")
    • DX9 Menasor,
    • Fanstoys Superion (claimed to be the largest combiner so should be 20"+)

    17.5-18" Combiners:
    • Unique Toys Bruticus
    • MMC Bruticus (45cm)
    • KO Oversized Warbotron Bruticus
    • KO Oversized Predaking
    • KO Oversized GenerationToys Devastator
    • Combiner Wars Devastator

They already teased Defensor a while back, so they'll probably keep going.

Yes I recall that. I wonder if that one would be next or if they would go elsewhere. Seems to be an opening for an MP scaled Computron as well.

There isn't a company doing a new 12-14 inch Bruticus is there? I'm still looking for a G1 Bruticus but don't want to buy the CW mold again after getting G2 Bruticus and Ruination. Love the toys but would like some variety, and I don't have the room for a foot and half or two foot combiner anymore.

Thanks for this!! It serves as a great "dashboard" for combiner scaling. I think it should be shared on every thread about the current and upcoming combiners... probably on page 1 so anyone can easily find, reference and expand upon this summary as new combiners are introduced.

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Seeing as how Zeta is doing a Superion and a Bruticus, that may be where I end up flushing my money!!

After acquiring TW Constructor, and knowing that Zeta shares several disgruntled former TW designers/engineers... it stands to reason that they may use similar functionality between their combiners.

And that could mean... (Crazy |Hybrid (Combiners!!!

It's not that they may use similar functionality - you can outright change the arms around (the hands can't be swapped between the sets, at least not between Constructor and Bruticus/Superion, because they have different connectors, though that hasn't stopped people from doing it anyway). We're not sure about the legs yet. In all likelihood, the legs won't be as easy to swap around but it might still be doable in some fashion. We'll find out soon enough.

Wow!! That's kinda awesome!! Thanks for the heads up!! The concept that I could potentially switch out figures from other Zeta combiners, swap out some limbs, etc... it really has me leaning toward "all-in" for Zeta combiners.

Can I assume people have posted (or will be posting) some pictures of these Hybrid/Frankenbot/Frankencon figures... somewhere?

I was looking on this "Mixing and Matching Combiner Teams" thread, but didn't really see any HybridFrankenbots.

A good image of MP-10 with Unique Toys' Onslaught offering, some DX9 Stunticons, other UT Combaticons...

    Mixing and matching combiner teams

Imagine if someone successfully rigged a combiner with Onslaught's Torso, Dead End and Breakdown as arms, Scrapper and Mixmaster as feet, where would it rightfully be posted?

I saw someone made an Autobot -X figure a while back that looked pretty good and inventive as customs go... but is there some type of Frankenbot Combiner thread?

    Hmmm...

I tried using mp10 as a torso for my zeta limbs but the combined ports are too big to fit in mp10s smokestack cavities without serious mods. Do you have the autobot-x link?

Go check out the Zeta Bruticus and Superion threads (Bruticus in particular) - some people have posted photos of them mixed and matched (including with the Unique Toys Combaticons because @TigerBlade has made adapters to mix and match those two sets of Combaticons).

Watching this and Zeta Toys. UT combined mode doesn’t do it for me.

And when's the Time and Patience show in 2018?
