    Just an FYI, I was going to order this and during checkout the shipping was going to be $33.00!!!!  I almost fell out of my chair. WTF!!! $33.00 for cardboard. No way!!!

    I'm not defending anything, not sure if it's 100% exact, but I can say for sure that these things are SUPER Heavy. It's corrugated cardboard with a vinyl backing.

    I've got packages from them with way more expensive actual shipping costs on the label.

    Wow. If Japan is $70 shipping plus the retail price, then that’s a harsh blow. Are there cheaper display options?

    I will wait until BigBadToyStore gets it in stock. They have the $4 flat rate shipping. I need to correct myself in that the shipping cost was for the new Autobot set and the previous Decepticon set together directly from Extreme Sets. I still think $33 shipping for both sets is crazy.

    yep for two sets combined

    so 100 for shipping plus the cost of 2 sets

    I bought last years ones and the kids love it and play with it regurlary so It is good stuff. My only complaint last year was no teletran. This has it so its something my kids and I want in our collection

    Also, they do exist. And within that price point. They just suck. But it still proves my point.

    Damn, I hope someone else offers it for cheaper. If not, guess I'll just have to wait for a different display set to come along. $60 plus $20 shipping would be reasonable. But this is getting $120 or more. :(

    I don't think Takara doesn't care, so much as it's a licensing issue with the companies that own the vehicles.

    Oh nice! I thought they were only available directly from their (Extreme Sets) site, and not other retailers, but now I may actually pick one of these up eventually!

    I've got both the Decepticon base and the original Autobot base from Extreme Sets. I like them pretty well, but a big drawback is that they're printed on corrugated cardboard. For photography purposes, it's hard to light them so that the corrugation doesn't show through.

    The price of this is ridiculous for some cardboard. I could make myself one from scratch for less than $20.

    It's a very nice set. I'm torn: I'd like to buy the set, but I've already got a great Teletraan-1, and I don't wish to pay $70+ for the walls.

    Maybe I'll look a little closer, or contact them to see if it can be purchased without the computer for less.
