Interesting though the 1st thought that popped into my head - was "What would he look like with the Silver or grey KO PE style hands and feeet fitted to him ?"

I kinda wish they'd changed Swoop to red chest (It will be a real shame if they don't re-rotate Swoop into a later wave with the new colour chest)

If anyone ever gets them i'd be curious what they are like - standard size is interesting if they are cheap enough - but I expect the real desire wieth these guys is to have them re-made larger by someone like Wei Jiang or KBB or similar.

I recently got the KBB Power Slide and he's actually a really pleasing size for a toy like that it kinda evokes things like the 1980's Headmasters to me.

Simplifying the wing hinges to a removable system actually bypasses the breakage most classics seekers were prone to... Bonus in my book.

All in all , a great upscale of a favorite mold from way back then.  

 

The parts-forming wings aren't too bad when you consider how delicate that double hinge could be... though those pegs do look a bit wimpy.

Definitely simplified in places, but it retains the important articulation, so that's good. Arguably, the new ball-jointed arms give him a better range of motion than the original Classics Seeker, even if it's a bit more unsightly.

What's most surprising is that while they removed or simplified some joints, they actually ADDED joints to the air intakes to allow them to fold onto the back... rather than leaving them attached to the chest like the original. Weird.

On a side note. Are foam gliders popular back in the world? I've been finding these.

 

A parts-swapped complete dirty megatronus seems awesome.

Also , gliders are always popular... Just that when they break, a part of my soul does too.  

 

Update... Loving the jj constructor, except for probably the most single important area of a combiner... The thighs swing like... Well, swings in the wind.

So I've come across a problem with my CBB Defensor. Bear in mind this might only be an issue with my copy. There isn't enough space where Groove's head rotates into the torso for it to clear properly, thus completely eliminating any movement in the knee for Defensor. Either the channel is too shallow or his head got embiggened.

 

I had no idea JJ finished their devy lol. XD

So what is it like? Are the last 3 as simplified as the first 3?

Hmm, do you have the hasbro groove to compare the two? Either way, its not a deal breaker for me. I still will probably pick this set up. Do you have any pictures of these you care to share? Mainly of hotspot in robot and torso mode.
