i dunno, if you're buying this figure, read the thread. you buy knowing that 1. there might be QC problems and 2. if there are QC problems you're shit out of luck

Could not agree more. When you buy them individually or in the boxed set you keep your fingers crossed that there are no broken parts or that a figure that will not arrive with two left arms or legs or that you are missing a much needed part. Very common with TW and we as buyers just have to suck it up and keep some extra cash handy if we need spare parts. A damn shame for sure.

There's this toyworld account that posted on Tieba a few days back with some drama, not sure if it's real or a joke.

Here Toyworld is accusing Zeta Toys of breaking the terms of their disengagement last year, which are spelled out in this lame piece of paper...

According to this, Toyworld was supposed to retain the rights to everything but the Bruticus/Superion in development(they forfeited the 940k RMB invested in those 2 designs). However Toyworld is now saying that Zeta Toys is holding onto all their molds illegally. The only molds Toyworld currently possess are the Constructor ones. Toyworld is seeking legal action against Zeta.

If it's legit it may explain all the troubles in the past few months.

 

Not a joke. Its on zetas weibo site too. Said they are continuing with their bruticus this month

 

I wonder if it's a "one shall stand, one shall fall" situation. That'll be pretty bad for collectors that choose the losing side, your customer service will be gone forever.

 

Zeta should create a website for TW to request replacement molds they're looking for...then Zeta can ignore the ever-living shit of those requests.

I wish, and if they did get along TW/Zeta would have been pushing out more higher quality projects and continue to keep getting better. Would have seen prototypes of there G2 megs,seekers, new combiners by now.

But nope....all these legal actions going back and forth slowed down productivity and put a hold on certain molds that are already done.

It sucks on both sides....Zeta is still gonna finish these combiners so that’s good news.

I'm just curious... Which molds are Toyworld seeking from Zeta Toys? What am I missing? From what I recalled, Toy World paid for and own/possess the Constructor molds. My understanding is that Toy World did not pay money owed to the Zeta Toys designers, so Zeta kept those designs and have been producing the Bruticus/Superion bots.

 

I am thinking it's the other bots like jazz, arcee and the dinobot combiner that zeta is coming out with under the zeta name. The dinobot combiner has been out awhile from TW I think, so one would assume zeta designers have already been payed for that abomination when it was released but who knows.
