I believe there was some material that shows Megatron consuming sparks of his victims. Granted we never see it onscreen, but hey, it's something...

Yeah his feet aren’t that cool, like so many have said. But the thing that bugs me more is his upside down chest, but at least the grill rotates over. I guess it’s easier to get the wheels on to his shoulders this way, especially for a small figure, so it’s alright I guess.

Well yes, that's exactly the reason why he died and Bee didn't. Bee's leg blew off, which was no where near his spark.

I can't really tell how the paint looks with these crappy pictures

Yeah, but they all needed to do was remake the 2007 figure with better proportions. This feels less accurate somehow, despite being better proportioned.

    1. TLK is terrible
    2. Jazz was supposed to have his spark eaten by Megatron, I don't think there's ever been any explanation for the change

I mean, he lost his legs, he wasn't ripped in half at the midsection.

Also, TLK seemingly exists to piss everyone, Bayformer fans and haters alike, right the fuck off in any way it can. I don't put any stock in anything it says or does regarding, well, anything.

    (I liked TLK)

On the topic of Jazz, bring it on! I'll admit after looking at the kibble from others pictures, it's a bit off. However, if I can overlook POTP Optimus having legs on his back, I can overlook this. :)

Yes, what exactly was the point of that? Wasting the CGI budget? And how does it make sense, is Bay actually implying the Dinobots had sex and made little dinobot babies? And why add them when they just disappear after the junkyard scene? And where are the other missing original dinobots? AND AAAAARRGGHHHHH :banghead:

I've never seen transformers fans as united in as they were in hating on the last knight, so I'll give it that much.

Oh I'm not saying Studio Series is made to fit in, just possibly Jazz as a fill in for now to try to get all the characters out as soon as possible. I believe Takara said that. 'If you see how tall it is its a little big for the Studio Series, but still will fit it in. The designers made sure it fit in both lines, to help fill out the original Autobots in 2007 movie'. It wss something like that in some interview I read. (It's not in actual quotes bc it's coming off my memory).

Can you find a link to that interview? I’d love for SS Jazz to be big enough to fit in with the first movie figures.

Jazz has two sets of lights in the movies, the fog lights, which stay on his chest, and the headlights, which should be on his forearms. His hands are blocking the headlight forearms in the profile pic, but everything is where it should be.

So I got a question for you guys. What ever happened to that masterpiece Jazz that was being worked on a while back? There was a video with some guy speaking spanish talking about it up on youtube, but I couldn't find much else on it since.

I have some groundwork done on a transforming, very screen accurate representation, but I'm wondering about how to blueprint this thing to weed out errors, and I'm wondering what would be the best way to go about getting this to a place that could manufacture it.

I'm also wondering if my idea deserves it's own thread, to get more views. I decided to post here since the entire thing is in my head at the moment, which may come to many writing me off immediately. I want full credit for this thing, so *shrug* sorry. From how I imagine it though, everything winds up where it should be, some parts a little bigger and or inaccurate, but for the most part, it looks highly authentic to the movie version. Of course it can't look perfect, due to the sheer amount of nonsense going on on his backside, but still, pretty good.

Thats sorta whats going on in my head with my masterpiece style evasion Optimus and I'm not really sure how to get my ideas into a way to show people. I tried drawing it out on paper but that didnt really work because its difficult to draw out all the 3d moving pieces on a flat paper. I figure some sort of 3d modelling software would be the best bet but I have no clue how to use any of that.

I would say it's not that complicated, but I'm not aware exactly how in depth your idea goes as compared to mine. Really, I simply took the 2007 toy and worked on it some, and I really have to give it to the guys who came up with the toy. Despite the final product being complete garbage, the groundwork for what they could've went for had they worked on it longer is pretty impressive. Despite my original disdain for the toy, I can now say for a fact that they did an outstanding extraordinary job translating it to a toy despite how nonsensical the robot design is.

Do try to draw it out on paper first, even if you don't have graph paper to try to work with. It at least gives you something to go by when you refine things and make alterations for it to work better.

EDIT: Should I make an alternate thread asking for help with this 2007 Jazz idea?

I was super hyped for that figure when I found out about it because of my absolute love for movie Jazz, something I think you and I have in common based on name and profile pic.

As for your own idea, how would the arms transform? I ask because I myself have been thinking about an MPM Jazz transformation, and the arms (especially the shoulders) are tough.

Yeah, the SS version disappointed me greatly. I could tell from the get go that I wasn't going to like the backpack. And seeing how Hasbro keeps dropping the ball over some pretty tiny things that they could've went the extra few centimeters to fix, it seems like our last resort is 3rd parties and knockoffs. I guess it wouldn't be hard to mod the backpack yourself seeing as even the 2007 figure did a better job with the roof of the car that the SS did, but eh, still too much work.

As for the arms, I still can't reveal too much. I want to make absolute sure I get the cred for this. I'll say this much though, it's not as hard as you might think. Since the shoulder design is "extraneous", when making a screen accurate mod for it, just be "extraneous" with it. The hardest part about making this MPM version is finding a use for the hood of the car as part of the transformation and hiding it away in a decent matter. Other than that, the rest of the car transforms pretty smoothly into a robot. I utilized the entire car. There is NO partsforming. Any weapon(s) that is/are included with it would have to be attached to the top for weapon storage.

Alright, I understand if you don't want to reveal too much about your thing, just make sure to let me know when you post your idea.

As for the SS figure, I completely agree. I understand that a deluxe figure can't be perfect, but I feel like I would have been satisfied if the design had just added a hinge to bring the spoiler and tail lights to the upper back and maybe fold the rest down. As for the rest of the figure, I wish the headlights would have been on the wrist like his actual appearance, but at least his forearms aren't super skinny again like on the HA figure.
