I know this was the generally accepted height. But I'm in disbelief that a 3P figure would be that big and only cost $35. Of course the listing doesn't give his height. Has anybody seen an official listing that states the height?

I'm suddenly worried that at some point we all began to take a rumor as fact.

Knight Morpher is the only one I lack.

I'm guessing also that in addition to high shipping you also get hit with import fees? Feel for you man, feel for you!

It's not unprecedented. Mech Ideas Twin Twist and Top Spin were deluxe size and about that price. Mech Planet makes cheap toys. Their Soundwave is about scout size and was only $15-$16.

I am all over this! I love the HoS line. I have the prime, shockwave and the seekers. I would love to have a whole line of these! Especially a Prowl!!

Beautiful! That is definitely worth a purchase.

Hope this guy does well and they continue the line. I'd love some CHUG-style Hearts of Steel figures with modern engineering.

True, there is room for improvement in the MMC ones (which I still love dearly).

With a price like that there really isn't much reason I can think of not hitting buy.

I believe they announced it officially but I could be wrong. It's not really that big for something of that price though. We just get used to companies like FansToys charging a ton for their products that we forget things can be this cheap for a third-party item.
Only import fees at NZ$400 or more, thankfully - we're lucky in that regard, but they include the shipping fees as part of that cost, so I've got hit on things before (I think Encore Fort Max was one of them). Shipping from the US is pretty expensive though, and NZ Post is a ripoff for sending things overseas (and they're increasing prices even more, always complaining about how less letters are being sent even though more parcels are being sent than before to offset that). Doesn't help that we're basically at the end of the world.

Anyway, my problem with getting Knight Morpher Commander has always been trying to find the v2. From a trusted retailer, it's fine, but it can be hard to find it in-stock. Making sure you get the improved v2 release when buying second-hand can be hard, especially when people aren't willing to tell you or purposefully obfuscate that information.
Hopefully Mech Planet does the designs MMC did too.
