Many of you know Thunderwing and also the 'character' Nitro Zeus from TLK. Here they get mashed together into a glorious new whole!

I'll first show off the completed product, then go into the process.

All he needs now is a corrupted matrix to hold and we'll be set!


There were two holes drilled in the rear of his wings to facilitate the mounting of the back turbines.

Here are some WIP pics. I changed the black on most pieces to purple and attempted to replicate Thunderwing's green chest patterning. I stole Generations Thunderwing's head and missile launchers to replicate Thunderwing's IDW Stormbringer appearance as best as this mold can. The stupid prison tats were removed by simply ditching the pieces they were printed on

That looks awesome! God, I want a Thunderwing from this mold so bad. I even bought that Thunderwing TM to do this but I might end up getting the oversized KO instead to better replicate how he looked in the IDW comics.

Lovely work. I REALLY wish it was easy and cheap to get the TM Thunderwing head, so I could do this myself.

Btw, I've found nail varnish remover and a few cotton wool buds are great at removing tampographs on my KO toys. Have you tried that method?

Do you mean using a deluxe TR head in the OSKO No itro Zeus? If not, what do you mean?

 

I mean I bought a TR head for an eventual Nitro body but I might have to skrap those plans and start all over with a new head and use the oversized Nitro instead.

 

Ohhh. I wanted to be able to include a deluxe sized figure "inside" such a OSKO versions (or rather, hope that someone else does it!)

Anyway, your idea sounds great, as is.

Thunderwing looks great - good idea on keeping the wings open for this version. The Nitro Zeus mold is so ridiculously versatile.

Awesome job. This is 100% exactly what I was convinced Hasbro was going to do with that mold. Especially after they threw the Thunderwing Head in that boxset. I never obtained that head though.
