That's a shame. Does it at least just tab in (it looks like the outside ones are friction-based unlike the inside ones which are pinned) so that it'd be easy to install if you got a replacement?
At least nothing is broken but that's still a pain.

Hopefully mine doesn't have any problems. For that matter, I hope my Vortex and Fireflight are fine too. Hopefully they arrive soon.

Which retailer did you buy it from? I hope it's not one of those retailers who are being stubborn (BBTS and TFS come to mind).

TFS at least used to let you do this. You could only cancel so much at one time though, and it had to be stuff you were putting in your stack.
That being said, the one time I tried to cancel a pre-order, they banned me without even giving me the option of just, you know, not cancelling it and leaving my account as-is.
They also completely missed one of my emails to them which caused them to screw up one of my orders, so as far as I'm concerned, TFsource can just get fucked.

    Looking forward to Swindle.

I still find it amazing when people moan these are not 'G1' Accurate enough for their collection. No one thought to compare them to the original toys because lo and behold they all match those rather darn well.

Why is that "amazing"? As far as "G1 accuracy" goes they are 0/5 (1/5 debatably) on bot modes, 3/5 on alt modes and 1/1 for combined mode.
The alt modes on these guys are phenomenal but if its accuracy we're looking for, 2 of them flat out turn into the wrong thing. That alone is pretty glaring.

I'm in on this set and enjoying it but lets stay grounded in reality.

Uproar came in today. Fortunately, I had watched several video reviews and read the thread so when his damn treads came flying at me as I opened the package I didn't panic. They were everywhere. Since I can't display anything at the moment anyhow; I inspected and everything looked accounted for. Removed the treads, put them in a ziplock bag and packed him back away. They mean serious business with that foam insert though. ;)

Hopefully BBTS ships my Whirlblade soonish.

Ouch, bad luck. Hopefully they get you sorted out ASAP.

I just had another Zeta figure arrive today but I'm not sure which one it is yet (gonna open it shortly), so here's hoping for no QC issues on my end...

EDIT: Fireflight and Vortex were meant to be next, but it was a QC-ridden Jazzy instead... :(

Brawl, Swindle, Blast Off and Onslaught are pretty accurate to their original toys, just a bit updated/kibbliscious. Two of the alt modes are indeed incorrect, but still. People seem to be complaining about the lack of cartoon accuracy though, which is ridiculous since these aren't mean to be cartoon-accurate.

Did anyone attempt to customize Blast Off in his original cartoon colors? Adding more purple?

Like the torso in black and purple. Not sure I like the purple mask on the shuttle tho.

So, anybody doing a 3d printed replacement solid tread set for brawl? You know, like the ones that worked just fine on literally every brawl ever before this one?

Well I can't say agree about most of the bot modes but I guess that comes down to personal kibble threshold (pkt). I'm a fairly low 2 maybe a 2.5, that means that at just 2-2.5 kibble units my enjoyment of the figure is diminished slightly. I estimate an average of 3.5-4 kibbles per figure in this set! So clearly, I'm having a rough time with this.....

Its just a good thing that the combined mode adds a zero phuks modifier to the set and, as we all know, zero phuks completely cancels out all kibbles because I give zero phuks about the kibble when I look at that glorious combined mode! :)

I'm just goofing around but glad we can both find things to enjoy about this set!

To be honest, I was highly critical of the figures, especially when it comes to the kibble, before I got them so I know how you feel.
But after getting them, the kibble doesn't bother me too much. Sure, it's there, but I really like them overall.

And on that note, I got Vortex today (and two more I have yet to open - I'm taking a break because my fingers hurt after moving that combiner port around) and I absolutely love him, maybe even more than Blast Off. He's a bit of a pain to transform perfectly, and assembling the parts is more of a mission than I thought it would be, but ultimately, I really like him. Once I clean up the mess in here, I'll try to finally get some photos.

EDIT: Final parcel was Brawl. Good figure but those treads are hell. Can't get one of the tabs out of the abs for combined mode. Arms are a pain in the butt to tab in and require a ton of force. Elbows kinda suck. Treads suck. Treads can go die in a fire. Treads need to be taken out back and beaten to death.

No major QC issues on my Zeta figures (Jazzy aside) so far, thankfully. Flash marks here and there that caused transformation issues now and then but nothing I couldn't deal with. I never want to get three of these in one day ever again though (or if I do, I'll open them a day at a time) - my hands are aching after all of that!

The purple really blends well with the cartoon chest plate. It's All ready to go when Onslaught lands.

    I was just being dumb.

It's just funny popping into various threads and hearing of all the qc woes and ppl concluding that a figure is trash or qc ridden.

When the reality maybe much different.

For example, thru my Rub deals, I can usually get a pretty good sense if particular figures are qc ridden or not based on how many ppl come back with a complaint regarding their figure.

Every company can have a qc issue here or there... But it's usually immediately apparent when the figures has issues because, I start getting messages from members all with the exact same issue.

It's not a perfect science but it's probably a better representation than purchasing a single copy.

All of my zeta figures have been solid so far and haven't really heard any qc complaints from those who ordered.

I see what you’re saying, but I think we ought to give Rub some credit. The guy does a good bit of business and has direct contact with his customers. I think he knows what he’s talking about.

I still have yet to pull the trigger on any of these though. I really need them to recolor and rerelease Onslaught and the combiner parts to truly get on board.

He might be the best seller ever I don't know I've never dealt with him. But if he and his customers have not had one qc issue then they've been really lucky
