The audio clips on the extra cannon with Chinese and English clips that came with IT-01 KO Megatron (reported to be made by Modfans) sound like crap. The cannon sound on mine even sucks.

The English only version with purple light haven't released yet.

I would be super pissed if I had gotten the IT cannon as the Modfans.

 

Modfans backplate is apparently designed with IT-01 primarily in mind. Someone tried the backplate that came with first run of IT-01 and it didn't fit that well the original Takara release. IT-01 is off from the official release in certain dimensions. It isn't a straight up KO, it's sports a lot of differences in minor details and similar stuff when compared to the official.

 

Thanks for the heads up. It fits now but not snugly. The cannon and heads are pretty cool though.

 

That...doesn't make sense. Why would a 3rd party company design an upgrade to be specific to a KO of an official release yet market it as being for the official? Something about this statement rings like opinion/rumor rather than fact.

Or could it be that the backplate that actually came with IT-01 is specific to that figure and that this...separate...upgrade release of a similar item is designed for the Takara version?

 

It would be a major fuck up to limit the use of their individual release to the product of the company they partnered up with in order to promote their product.
Nobody is going to buy the set if it doesn't fit on the Takara and THF releases.
Perhaps the delay is in order to make a better fit with those releases.

 

So the back piece won't fit on the Megten(?) version?

Anyone know when ShowZ store expects to realistically (key word) get their shipment in of the cannon and backplate combo??

The voice clips and I think the new MF is supposed to have a purple LED. The MF is supposed to have 13(?) Welker phrases.

The voice clips on the IT one are so terrible, I use the Japanese cannon. Inaccurate cannon sound be damned.

Nope. Look at the right side of that plate (towards top of pic), it's crooked and not in all the way on that side. Something inside needs to be filed down. It may be that slot that needs to be widened? I have one on preorder, so I am curious to inspect it once I get this upgrade kit. I do hope the LED is purple!

I guess so. Also, the sound quality of the other cannon that came with the IT was shit. This was supposed to come out in Jan. Then pushed back to late March. If this ever comes out, I'll no longer be interested.

 

If they fixed the sound, and the fit, I'll gladly wait.

 

I got a refund on my preorder for this one. I think it was a lot of "Oooo shiny" for me and honestly, I don't use batteries in my Transformers. It'd just be for the backplate which seems less than stellar so far. Doesn't help that the IT sounds are pretty cheap sounding with the speakers in it. Just not interested anymore.
