Thanks for the heads up! I've been looking for one of these for awhile but prices on eBay were more than I was willing to pay. I just ordered the one from AE.

 

Bought one from AE on 3/15. This one arrived today in pristine condition. Packaged very well.

I've never had issues with AE's customer service and had a similar mail issue where it ended up going back to AE but I was able to contact them and they re shipped it back to me without any issues or extra charges. I guess each their own.

Dang $302 usd cheaper then what I pre ordered it for   But I'm sure it was due to the currency exchange rate fluctuating, ah well at least I have it. Still haven't taken it out of the AE box fully though. I should do that tonight, have had it for almost 2 weeks now.

And someone with photography skills. Just a quick picture out of excitement. It took me three attempts to purchase on EBay. Two cancellations. The third I managed to be extremely lucky on and purchased during the 20% coupon. So in all I nabbed him for about $319 shipped.

I am very happy with this very niche product.

 

I should've jumped on that eBay 20% deal, $320 is much more doable, didn't even think about it when it occurred. so much regrats.
I do have some gripes about this figure tho, which is making me hold off on it, especially at the price point...I feel they could've added more detailing/paint apps on the legs/lower portion. I also dislike the Autobot logo indentation on the trailer and how in photos they photo-shopped it out to make it look smooth. Lastly, at the price point they could've at least added little magnets or something instead of stickers to make the 7-11 or Autobot logos interchangeable.

I believe one of the Japanese Twitter bloggers showed off one of these displayed on MP-711's trailer, which inspired me to get it.  

 

MP-711 Convoy (7-Eleven Ver.) arrived today.

 

So I got some good news and decided I'd celebrate by buying this figure. Figured I'd be able to have a nice prime shelf between regular, yoth, shattered glass, black prime Eva prime and now this. Gonna have a real convoy of convoys!

 

When this was announced, I figured this was a test for interest for a white prime (magnus) as mp 10 size. I have mp 02 and still love that damn thing with all my heart. Nothing like a white prime.

 

I don\'t see the appeal of this one.. sure white prime and all... but 7-11? And whats up with that ugly blue face shield.

To each their own I guess. Not for me.

 

I worked for four years at a 7-11 and I love this mould. I fully admit this isn't for everyone. Very much a niche product catered to a very small but hungry group of people.

 

The blue face mask is accurate to white Optimus Prime repaints like MP-2 Ultra Magnus, Classics Ultra Magnus (at least one version is - the Takara one, I believe), and Revoltech Ultra Magnus.

The 7-Eleven deco is just optional fun (stickers and all). My father-in-law is a manager at a bento factory that makes food for 7-Eleven in Japan so that's mostly why this appeals to me (that and Japanese 7-Eleven food here is tasty).

 

gotcha. I think it may have looked better in green but I see the obvious callback now to the mp-2. Sorry not familiar with every masterpiece and every paint scheme yet   

i guess 7-11 is weird to me because I can't even think of the last 7-11 I've been in. Mostly Sheetz and AC&T where I live.
