I don't understand some of the complaints about this line so far. One that really gets me is price. Marvel legends figures are $20 and are not as fun as a transformer. At that they come with a baf piece so that u would feel u have to buy that figure for the piece to complete the baf and some if not most don't even come with weapons. Sometimes I wonder if y'all should even bother with this hobby due to all the complaining with figures from just about every tf line to date. While some complaints I do understand but at the same time I still buy cuz I like them. I know it's ur money do as u please but it's sad when there's always more negative then positive about transformers toys that ARE for kids not grown men. 3rd party tfs are more for us but yet the negative complaints are still there.
I like this new line but don't like the negative hate towards it from u guys and others that do video reviews.

I had crowbar and just folded and tucked the dreads so that they didn't hang out the back. Wasn't a problem for me. I like this new bee, I do agree they should have put a pin in the roof/windshield but it's not a deal breaker for me. Ratchet is fun too aside from the roof rack but that's an ez fix, just a simple cut. My favorite is stinger. His neck piece clips/sits on the wheels when u them positioned correctly. I'm gonna buy another to repaint into a vehicon.

DOTM Dreads. Wow, totally forgot about the Chevy Suburban Assassins. I gotta see Studio Release CROWBAR in hand now.

I need to dig up the original trio toys and bust out DOTM this weekend to see if they were as sweet as I remember.

Hell, I should dig up the movie wreckers too. :)

    I'm gonna be that guy.

Boo hoo. Waaah, stop hating what I like!!!

Who are you again and why are YOU here? Re-reading though the past two pages again and there is no super negative or hate posts here. Reality check here is that we CAN have differing opinions because we handle differences like adults. I question your adulthood when you barge in, claim we're haters and we should "get out."

We don't have any problems here. I've met a fair number of people in this local thread over the years and we're all cool and chill about each other and we respect each other's opinions and likes and dislikes. We don't need anyone coming in and tell us that we are wrong because we don't believe the same things you do.

I'm not sorry about calling you out. I love our local group and it pisses me off when you come in with this "love it or else" attitude.

To be honest, one of the reasons I posted my thoughts was that I saw at least one terribly negative review, and not a whole lot of others out there yet. I wanted to share my thoughts with local folks, since there aren't a lot of in-hand reviews yet. I tried for a balanced approach, to list the positives as well as the negatives, and I did say that those were my thoughts/impressions. I thought my positives were solid, and my negatives were more nit-picks than anything else.

The ones I have are cool figures, but we all have our own budgets and what we're willing to pay for things. For me, it always comes down to 'Yeah, X figure is cool, but is it $Y cool?' and all I'm saying is that for me, this series IS cool, but $25/figure cool is really pushing it. I also went out of my way to mention that the BB especially is not as bad as some reviews (and you'd probably be able to figure out the one I'm referring to) have claimed.

For $25 bucks, something closer to the size of a Marvel Legends figure would be pretty cool, but these figures are not even that big. That isn't a great comparison, though, since these TFs in particular are pretty complex. More went into engineering them, and they have a lot more parts. To be more of an 'apples to apples' thing - let's compare something like the $10 ROTF/HFTD Deluxe Bumblebee with the $25 Studio Series Bumblebee. With the Studio Series, you're looking at something at about the same complexity as ROTF/HFTD, but only ~70% of the size, and about 250% of the cost. And I know that there are things like inflation to factor in, and I would probably be able to write it off as that if it was one or the other, but we are getting BOTH the size decrease AND the price increase at the same time. Going back to that Marvel example, there is no way I could justify buying a whole set of figures for the parts of a BAF- those unfortunately get filed into the 'Cool, but not for me' category. I really liked that Vulture figure from the latest Spider-Man movie, and I actually considered picking him up until I realized that I would have to BAF his friggin' WINGS.

Lastly, I don't think it is realistic to think of the Studio Series as being 'for kids.' Though the box says 8+. I could tell you that if I was getting a little frustrated, an 8yr trying to transform that BB would probably end up like that one reviewer, and they wouldn't give a flip about the packaging or the display that comes with the figure. ROTF/HFTD was often called out for being too complex because kids got frustrated trying to transform them, and these figures are right along those lines. If we were talking about the new RID line or even the C/H/U/G/TR/POTP stuff then I'd agree, those could be considered more geared toward kids (with the CHUG stuff being aimed at both - still fun for kids, but hits the nostalgia button for adults). But if we compare to those figures, we get back to the fact that those are mostly head-and-shoulders larger and $7-$10 cheaper...

At any rate, those are again just my thoughts on the matter, and again, Your Mileage May Vary....

I mean along these lines I'd love to see a 'unpopular positive opinion' discussion at some point, though maybe not clogging up the 'Sightings' board much more. Like an "I love X figure, but everyone else hates it." Off the top of my head, I friggin' LOVE that HFTD or whatever Highbrow. I know everyone hates the spindly legs, awkward hips, and the weird forearms/fists, but you're gonna have to pry that fantastic fighter plane out of my cold, dead, fingers LOL.

If you're serious about it and not just throwin shade at me? Sure. I always try to look out for things for other people. Myself? I'm not too interested in Wave 1 voyagers. I love the DOTM deluxe Seekers but I don't think I really need a voyager of them. I also love my Battle Blades Prime...and that one's got guns and this new one doesn't. Voyager series 2 though? Woof. Megatron and Brawl. I got Leader Brawl last week and I LOVE that guy but sure, I'll take voyager Brawl too!

Stopped by Mall 205 today and they had SOME restocking. Some POTP wave 1 voyagers, 1 Leader Prime and 1 Leader Rodimus. Nothing too spectacular there.

For me, unless there's more after the whole of Wave 2, I want Brawl, Megatron, Blackout, and Lockdown. MAYBE Grimlock, maybe Jazz too.

Sounds like TR Deluxe Wave 6 (Slugslinger in particular) has been showing up at Ross-type stores.
If anyone runs across a Windblade, please pick one up for me and /or let me know about it.
    Thanks all!

I found the voyager class studio figures at the Cornelius Pass Fred Meyers off Imbrie this morning. They had 1 each of Prime and Starscream prices about $37. Glad Fred Meyers are getting new items in stock was hoping to find the Power of the Primes - Prime Masters Wave 2... the search continues.
    Happy Hunting
