I broke down and ordered the DX Bike Robo and it arrived last week. Unfortunately, I found it to be awesome. I had a number of Good Bots and Super Go Bots as a kid, and enjoyed the cartoon. I saw some of the smaller Machine Robo releases, but was able to restrain myself from going down the rabbit hole. Then I saw Emgo's review of DX Bike Robo, and saw the Cy-Kill faces, and I was broken. Cy-kill was probably one of my favorite molds. I had the green and black version as a kid briefly, and another friend broke it at the knee. I also had the Super version, and still have him to this day. So to see what is essentially a MP Super Gobot Cy-Kill with the wheels in the right place, and with a face that evokes that goofy Hanna-Barbera glory....my willpower evaporated I would love to see the other five of the core cast done this way too.
No the snow slowed it down.... not till Monday. Getting pretty excited. Yeah. I don’t think you’re alone. I am betting on at least a Leader1 next.
I gotta admit, I really like that robot mode with the big chunky legs. Also how much of a sacrilege would it be considered if I said his trailer base looks better than Convoy's?
While I’d settle for the new DX Tough Trailer being compatible with an already existing trailer, perhaps MP-10 Prime’s, I’d still really love if Action Toys or someone made a proper trailer to go with him.
Got him. Yup it’s amazing I need more. I need Eagle, Supercar and Blue Jet and Gyro and Ambulance and Drill and Jeep and Submarine and.... Wow the Gobot names are so much better.
I took some pics of Turbo at TFCon Chicago...thought we'd have him by now along with Fightor...Now I want him in DX scale with Cykill
Okay, okay no problem I will take those while I wait for DX versions. Have to say BJ / Fightor and SC / Turbo look the best so far. Turbo looks especially nice.
If we can get Supercar Robo/Turbo and Blue Jet/Fitor released by the end of this year that would be great. I don't care if that is the only releases we get this year, as long as it is them. I would prefer Action Toys to release the shown prototypes first (Loco, Jettranser, Tough Trailer, etc) before anything else.
Okay. I was hoping maybe there was a rough ETA since someone said they photo'd them at TFCon Chicago. But now I'm guessing that's been a long time ago?
I think those pics were from a recent tfcon, although action has had colored prototypes of Supercar and Blue Jet for almost two years if not longer. If those were test shots and not prototypes, it’s give me hope that these are still coming.
Gokin Machine Robo is where release dates and ETAs go to die. Every time I come into this thread, the clock on my wall stops moving. If anything does actually get released, it'll just pop-up in stores a week after online reviewers get their copies.
Yeah the release timing and communication from Action Toys is the equivalent of smiling and nodding emphatically while saying "No?"
This is how most toy companies choose their solicitation/release dates (sorry about the lousy quality of the photo):
