Shame about the knees but I'll probably buy it anyway. Hopefully there will be a deluxe/voyager Shockwave release in WFC.

Shocky looks really cool, but no knees, I don't know about that... If I stumble across it online on the cheap I might buy it but I expect Hasbro/Takara to bring us a Voyager Shockwave sooner or later in Generations/Chugyogurt/WhatEverTheyWillCallIt.

I am torn. I love that bot mode, but the lack of articulation... I dunno, I'll have to see when he shows up in stores.

And besides, with the War for Cybertron series coming out, we may get a more G1-inspired figure.

I think the only thing I don't like about this is that they keep using that FoC design element of making the legs the cannon. Man, I just do not like that. The Legends version had it as well, and I was really hoping the next good Shockwave would go back to the original style.
    Stupid FoC...

Wait why are people saying there's no knees? Was this confirmed by someone handling it or are we just saying that based on appearance?

Look at where the silver thigh part connects to the rest of his leg on the in-hand pic. It's impossible for a knee joint to be there because it's hollow.

    That answers that.
We don't for sure because there aren't any other pics.

It seems pretty evident from the in-hand picture. The Cyber Battalion figures also tend to only have knees when they use them as a transformation joint (which Shockwave doesn't).

    ???

We do know for sure. It's literally impossible for a knee joint to be there.

Yeah, it's a very obvious swivel joint.

Even without the knees and elbow articulation, its the best "Classics" Shockwave we've got so far. Maybe this is a preview for whatever Shockwave they've got planned for the upcoming WfC Generations line (there should be at least one version of the character in that line), but this will make a decent stand-in until then, especially if it can be found for normal price.

*crosses fingers for a proper transformation, no stupid "big boy pants" gimmick and no FoC/IDW influence*

Who cares if he has knees or not? It's not like he has to take a shit.

    I care.
You know how many figures I have posed quite specifically to look like they are cyber-pooping?
Because of this figure now i’ll Have to pose them cyber-peeing.

    This might ruin my display.

why couldn't they have connected the legs via ball-joints instead of swivels? the parts count would be the same, so in theory the cost should also be the same

Probably to keep rigid stability for alt mode.

So its like they are dancing around what we want, because we want that look with a bit quality. the basics like elbows and knees. That's the look though
