Mine was transformed at least 15 times. Zero breakages, zero stress marks. Haven't disassembled the set in a long while though or quantron for that matter as they still look so super nice next to my giant and m3.

I am kinda honestly glad that mt got away from these types of sets though. What still remains their biggest negative, and m3's (same designer) is that the actual act of transforming any of them has never been especially fun. Lots of insanely tight parts and complex specific motions needed and pieces that require so much force from your fingers you're always sore afterwards. Very much toy sets designed with their looks and engineering placed way way above ease of handling.

This is why CD is so much better, its clearly a line being handled by the same guys behind their old combiners but with fun placed at the forefront, transforming striker and rioter is an absolute joy as seems to be the case with thunder too. So if we ever see a bigger scale CD gestalt I have high hopes it'll be way way more fun to mess with than any of these old sets were. I would assume it might be scaled similarly to how GT's been handling their stuff too which will be nice.

Thanks, I'm trying to get better.

They do look great. I forgot how poseable they are as well.

    Some recent alt shots.

How much greater would Quantron have been if Scattershot had been given a little more bulk and the limb bots were the size of their Jazz, or even Giant's limbs? I like these guys, but man, are they tiny. (Keep in mind I mainly collect MP-scale stuff nowadays)

Even at current CHUG levels they are still kind of small. I hope someone KOs and upscales them cause those YES model version of their Defensor is looking fantastic at a larger scale.

So I had an idea for a "story." It started with a picture I saw of Menasor punching Computron. I also wanted to include Scattershot's siege cannon mode.
After Menasor's arm came off, I started thinking about Monty Python's Black Knight.. and well.. you'll see.

    Sooooo, Quantron.....

Having turned my nose up at these bots when released because they weren't G1/Masterpiece enough. Years later, I now found myself drawn to them after getting (the brilliant!) IF Iron Giant - which, ironically, I bought due to there not being enough G1 masterpieces to my liking. I have now completely relapsed into 3rd party TFs after several years away. I'm so impressed with iron Giant and the smaller scale that I am now eye-ing the stylised combiners I had previously written off. Go figure.

Anyway, it looks like I can order the full Quantron set direct from Maketoys for an awesome price (another benefit of waiting years to get them!). Does anyone have any idea on the shipping times they usually have? I'm in the UK.

Why not ask them directly? It'll depend on the shipping option that you'll pick.

Congrats on deciding to pickup Quantron! A really great combiner and, at least in my opinion, very underrated group of individual bots and alt modes.

Don’t forget to check out this thread when it arrives at your doorstep...

FP Menasor options, mistransformations, fanmodes & add-ons

    Hope you enjoy those Technobots!

Anybody know if replacement parts are needed or included with the tfsource set? Looks like they are individually boxed (not box set)
