I was hoping for Impactor until I found out he was D-Class...but...I guess I'll have to learn to appreciate having an Impactor that is his own mold...
I hope it doesn’t suck because that MMC Spartan can’t be beat. Should have been Needlenose and Tracks. Im not a big fan of tubby RTS Tracks
Impactor vs, Mirage was the only pair I didn't want. I wanted Wheeljack or Tracks. Don't care about or want Impactor or Mirage at all. So typical.
I knew this would win. Looking forward to finally getting a figure of Impactor that isn\'t mediocre or expensive.
I hope we still get Needlenose, I think him and tracks were a close second in the votes, so maybe they could still happen? Honestly I wish we could just get all of them, they were all things I wouldn't have minded seeing get made.
I didn't vote because I wanted at least one of the toys from all of the choices, so I would have been happy with any result, but I am glad to have a regular retail G1 Impactor toy coming out.
So we collectively gave up a chance to get a completly new updated character figure Needlenose/Spinister? Moronic. Guess these are same people who will waste money on a million iterations of optimus no matter how bad they are.
The fandom chooses the option that gives us 2 Autobots & deprives us of a new Decepticon. Hasbro should have made a choice for Optimus Prime vs. Bumblebee to give this stupid fandom what it really wants/needs.
I'm betting we'll still get the other figures, gotta feeling Hasbro wants to do a cyber Wheeljack, but prolly won't see them till the second or third line in the trilogy.
So Mirage, the traitor, is going to persuader Impactor and the Wreckers to join the Autobots? Not the story I would have gone with. Isn't the whole point of the Wreckers is that they're like the Autobots version of the A-Team? And isn't the whole point of the DJD is that they're the Decepticon version of the Wreckers? Not that the Wreckers have to always be all Autobots. Certainly in the old BotCon comics you had Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, and Predacons as part of the Wreckers. Although, isn't this story supposed to take place at the beginning of the war too? Around the forming of the Autobot and Decepticon factions. So, why would the Wreckers already exist? Unless they really were just some kind of Cybertronian A-Team, either under the employ of or on the run from whatever government Cybertron had at the time prior to the war. Also, if this does indeed take place early in the war, like Megatron Origin early, I certainly hope we get a Megatron toy based on that design. If this whole line is going to be pre-Earth Cybertronian designs, at least do us that courtesy, Hasbro and finally make an official toy of that.
Im actually surprised this pairing won. I was settling in for wheeljack/spinister but im pleasantly surprised here....hope the end result is good....don't care for mirage but I'll always take a good impactor
I feel for the guy, not only does he have his regular "managing an entire toy franchise" job... he also has to be the public face of the brand. In one way it's endearing - and a neat thing that he's the go-to guy, but on the other hand - can't Hasbro afford a Public Relations person too?
Well, with any luck they will eventually give us a needlenose and spinister at mass release (really kicking myself for not joining the club that year). Zero interest in Impactor, and even less in another Mirage, unless by some miracle it comes out better than what we have, but we don't get that kind of articulation in delxues these days.
