Yup. Most of the dinobots have weird, double parts in robot mode.

In that display... is that the recently released Voyager Scorn painted up more like his movie colors? I see TLK Slug there.

 

I really hope we get a Scorn repaint in those colours. Slug and Strafe look like they have slightly muted colours on that display too.

 

What store? If you mean Takara Tomy Mall, then I don't think they're selling them? TT Mall usually only sell exclusive/special TFs.

 

Nearly all the figures were custom painted and modded in some way. Galvatron and Optimus both had their backpack linked removed, Nitro Zeus was painted in metallic silver, etc. It was simply a diorama.

 

TakaraTomy Mall sells all regular retail TakaraTomy Transformers figures in addition to their exclusives.

 

I know that. Just saying it would be good to get them in those colour schemes. Especially as they’ve finally got the paint right on Grimlock.

 

Oh, right. I hardly use them for regular released figures, as Amazon seems cheaper.

That said, there was no news concerning a pre-order for the film-based "studio series" toys, so I'm not sure why anyone would be looking to do so there.

 

Oh, I did not notice Bumblebee and Optimus in the background until now  

 

at least its not as cheap, sad and plain as titan class devastator,
and the individual bots look to at least have more articulation than the constructicons

 

yeah, the stupid fake heads on both the model and the new leader kill it for me and cement the voyager as my ideal grimlock. sucks besides aside from those fake heads, it's an amazing design.

 

You never know, maybe there's a mod or fan-mod to have a two headed t-rex mode!

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Hasbro put the first wave of Deluxe Studio Series figures on early preorder at Toy Fair?

 

Maybe. You would think, in this "brand unification" era, Takara would do the same. Still, at least folks in Japan got the chance to buy older, perhaps missed-out-upon stock this time round.

 

BTW, I took a look at that "Scale Chart" pic they included. Is that really the size difference between these figures, or is that incorrect and they just put it there for some random reason? Because Ratchet does not look that much bigger than Bumblebee to me, but every pic that has both of them in it doesn't have them side-by-side on the same surface.

 

So, four heads?
