I don't think so, because the first rebooted movie will be only in 2022

Actually yeah, you're right, cause the Hasbro one doesn't have the wing panels on his back. Just saw the pose and hands and assumed it was the same.

    God dammit it...

I will still get the Studio Series but God damn it... It's finally happening but God damn it... I need more money...

Hot Rod looks fantastic but I'll hold off for now. The accuracy of the next figure as well as Hot Rod's QA will determine if I will invest in this line.

I hope the Devastator will remember A that combiners have individual robot modes (even if we tend to display them in combined mode) and B Devastator was Quadrupedal. I mean both the terrible ultimate class brick AND the better but still too small legends were both bipedal.

With the recent release of the Studio Series Crowbar I really think some 3rd Party companies need to start dishing out some high quality Dreads.

I loved the look of them from DOTM and really want them in a proper scale. Studio Series is still too small. Dreads need to be at least voyager size considering they're huge Chevy Suburbans.

Having Alien Attack's Firage in hand I would be curious to see their take on them. Plus Hatchet would be a perfect companion piece to him.

Also, I've recently been moving some things around in my collection and came across DOTM Skyhammer and ROTF Mindwipe. Would anyone be willing to buy 3rd Party versions of these original characters? Add more paint, better articulation, etc.? Or would you even be willing to buy a new original movie character from a 3rd party company?

I really hope for some news on UT Challenger soon. It's been months and months since we've even had a pic of the prototype! It was so beautiful, and since El Cid turned out to be a complete turd (except for the paint job) all my hopes are on Challenger for being the best 3P figure of 2018.

With the new reveal of Dream Factory's Bonecrusher. I want to get a gauge of what everyone's size class of choice is for their movie figures.

For me there are three main categories:

1.) "Old" Movie scale which existed around '07 - DOTM

    2.) MPM scale

    3.) Studio Series scale.

(I know some will argue that MPM and the old scale are virtually the same but to save us all the headache let's agree to disagree for now).

For me, I'm still in the old movie scale camp. I've spend the past decade building up my movie collection to scale around ROTF Leader Prime and I'm not willing to give that up and start over with something new. Where do you all stand. Have you been willing to start over with the MPMs or with the Studio Series since you're hoping they will be more consistent and release better representations of characters?

I think MOM scale in this case should match up with the old scale. Since we can scale it with the non carboys from that line. So a short leader size would be appropriate. I don't want him tonne bigger than MOM Prime

Now I'm on MPM scale with Bee, Barricade, Soundwave and IDK if I take regular MPM Prime or Wei Jiang.. the new OS Blackout will scale with MPM, but not with WJ Prime

LOL. Thanks! It's about time we had a space we can call our own :D

I could probably do a better job of posting in the thread when a new figure gets announced. This would be a good space to discuss the new MPM Soundwave that's coming out.

That's definitely a tough call. I think I would lean towards the regular MPM Prime only because he's a little closer in size and will work with more figures than Wei Jiang's OS version. Once you start collecting over size figures you have to bank on companies continuing to make characters in that size.

That looks pretty good actually. Obviously we know that the sizes of the bots changed constantly during the films so it's impossible to get anything close to accurate but I still stand by my earlier opinion that I think the standard MPM sizes work fine.

It's not perfect for sure but I think it's a hell of a lot closer than with the OS Prime. Looking forward to when we start seeing some in hand images of MPM Ironhide. I think he's going to look great with Prime.
