Very interested in this one. I love Barber\'s Soundwave and the idea of him being confronted with Onyx or Optimus\' increasing moral uncertainty.....mmmmm that\'s a good comic there. SUPER pumped.
I’ve always been a Soundwave fan, but Barber has pushed the character to new heights. Who knew Soundwave could be such a sympathetic, well-rounded character?

Also those memories he had on the first page feature Alpha Trion and Onyx...Now I\'m wondering if that Logos Prime theory might actually be serious.
Probably because it's a flashback to when Optimus confronted Soundwave during part 3 of the "All Hail Optimus" arc. (Might want to write that on the page, whoever uploaded the page about the preview.) That said, while it's chilling to even think of Optimus blackmailing anyone like that, it's not like he's wrong. Soundwave did make it look like Horri-Bull got killed by Bumblebee... Hypocrites, am I right?
fuck yeah, i'm such a whore for idw soundwave and his relationship to the characters around him. so much potential and when he's written well, he's written really damn well.
Okay so theory time: Looking at this again, the first page is in the past yet Soundwave clearly seems to be "remembering" things from the current situation and Ravage has to snap him out of it. Logos Prime supposedly has power over time and also goes by the alias "Soundblaster". Coincidence? I think not.
Literally the only thing making me doubt this theory is that Logos isn't part of the Aligned continuity lineup of Primes, i.e. Hasbro's preferred lineup of Primes and the one IDW seems to be sticking with. Other than that, I'm really liking the whole Logos Prime idea that's floating around, and this preview definitely adds some fuel to the fire.

I don't think those are memories so much as Soundwave just hearing what's happening on Cybertron, given that the Mistress of Flame and Elita One are also there.
I agree. I have to translate сcomics to russian and, honestly, tired to do that - politics everywhere, like there is not anything else interesting. Like James Roberts said - if you want to do something serious - just add politics. Why? I always knew, that Transformers is a saga about belief, trust and self-sacrifice. Where is it in this comics? TF Movies, for example, haven't politics and they are very deep and serious as a whole. I'm not saying about humorous moments - they are nessecary everywhere. I say about the meaning of the films. And I hate, that comics shows Decepticons as fighters for freedom and OP as a cold-blooded politician. It perverts the main values of all TF franchise and I always hate, when someone tryes to justify killing of innocent people, terror, revolutions, etc. Murderers aren't heroes. And heroes aren't politicians, because heroes are selfless, but politicians are pragmatic.
yeah, this style of writing would work for shattered glass but in the mainstream it makes optimus more slimy than starscream
