Damn, some impatient people around here who've presumably done nothing at all associated with figure development.

What would you prefer? Silhouettes that show no detail? Blurred prototypes pics? They could go the way of MOST other 3Ps and dick around like that. I'd rather see progress pics that help show me if they're worth the investment, because MST are not cheap.

You guys saying mini-MP are right on the money. These dudes come at a premium.

I understand that they will make an exclusive Shafter to the nearest TFcon?

Because I'm bored (and I've got to kill the time before these are released somehow): how MST's internal scale could possibly shake out. Not exactly perfect, but good enough for me.

    Minibots: 'Bee, Huffer, Insecticons, etc.
Basic Troop Bots: Jazz/Prowl/Sideswipe, Construticons, Stunticons, etc.
Large Troop Bots: Inferno, Ironhide/Ratchet, Seekers, Soundwave, etc.
    Commander Bots: Prime, Megs, etc.
The Big Bots: UM, Sixshot, Dinobots, etc.

Edit: Same thing using another MST group shot:

I really dig this and I get that this is in their own scale but I would definitely buy these minibots if they included replacement hands with 5mm post holes in them to fit in with the Hasbro stuff.

Yup. Their legends-scaled lineup looks superb. Great designs, height and proportions all around. I can't wait to get their Inferno in hand.
You want their hands bigger than their heads, like Iron Factory, or do you want to swap accessories between figures?

They seem to want to engage with their potential customers throughout the process. I like the idea. That is a big part of the fun with a lot of Kickstarters; all the behind the scenes stuff.
I am happy for the reveals, but I think I would have saved these prototype reveals until closer to the ship date of the first wave or just after the first wave shipped. Just trying to imagine the best way to maintain interest.

Iron Factory seems to finish a product completely than drag it around to different shows and conventions for months before finally shipping it; that seems counterproductive to me, but maybe that is the best way to sell your 3p items.

Just what I was thinking when I saw this 3P. Is it some unwritten rule that every Huffer must be retooled into a Pipes?

Well yeah, just like every Prime needs a black repaint. or every Starscream needs a barrage of seeker repaints

And part of the reason to buy 3p instead of Hastak is that we get an actual remold instead of a blue Huffer.

Magic Square has done a good job making their Sideswipe and Red Alert distinct. Infernio and Grapple too. I am hoping if they do Pipes and Hoist that trend continues.

I hope they do a remold too. Pipes is one of my favorite Minibots and he doesn't really have a proper update. there have been attempts but none of them really impressed me.

Sadly this isn't always the case. My iGear Pipes is just a Pipes-colored iGear Huffer.

If MST does Pipes then it'll be interesting to see how they handle his distinctly different backpack.

Doesn't get any better than that. It especially doesn't get any better than a 3P legends company putting faction symbol places in the correct places. I really hope they designed them with ToyHax stickers in mind, though I don't know that they make any small enough to fit his truck door.

And in the correct shape! One of my few complaints about IF's Combaticons is the weird, chevron-shaped spots for faction symbols molded into the figures.

Since I never add faction symbols to my figures, I'd prefer they allow space for it while still keeping the surface flat. The way MS Toys is doing it makes it look incomplete if you choose to leave it alone.

I hate those. They make no sense at all, and are doubly infuriating when you consider that they don't do anything similar to their Autobots.

So exciting to see something NOT-MP [scaled]! :)  Maybe I had a lot of Go-Bots growing up, but the smaller scale is very appealing to me. And with a smaller scale comes the also appealing smaller PRICE. :D

Collecting MPs is too painful on the wallet, and I suspect even the most well-off collectors are neglecting some important things in their lives. And toy collecting shouldn't be that: a choice between being a responsible adult or buying childish things. :banghead:

All that aside, I love my Metroplex/Trypticon city sets, and having more mini-bots to stage on them is always a plus! :thumb

Still, I'd like to express some surprise that CHUG gets dropped in favor of LEGENDS scale OR MP scale.  Never would have thought that... unless the idea is to not directly compete with Hasbro (who handles the CHUG scale pretty well right now anyway).
