Me too, it was kinda becoming my trademark, lol.

I'm probably not the first to say to this to you, but I can't help but read everything you say in Lockdown's voice :D

His voice? Heh! I've never heard that one before. I feel like that comes with a strange sort of responsibility to consider when making comments now.

Yeah Hasbro would never release something like that.

Lack of transformation is forgiven for screen accuracy and high level of articulation. I don't plan on collecting Transformers Prime figures but I wouldn't mind having at least one really good screen accurate representation of Optimus from the show whether it transforms or not.

Wow, that's big! Looks good. Does anyone know if/when this will be up for preorder from anywhere in the US?

Dang. That's bigger than I was expecting. Does that look like 12 inches? As much as I love his look, he might be too big for my collection.

WOW!, it's beautiful. It's deliciously big.

I do hope we get a soundwave and a delicious knock out.

I wouldn't say he's terribly big. That ultra Magnus was only about 6" or so at the head. That'd make this figure around 10" or about mp10 height.

[Edit] checked my ultra Magnus. He closer to 7". That would make Optimus around 11-12" I think. So yeah, I guess that is pretty big.

Wow. Was definitely not expecting that size. Guess I'm still hunting a FE version then.

Hopefully this helps, assuming Magnus is ~7in at the top of the head, that would put Prime about 10.5~11in.

I wasn’t gonna get this because I knew I’d end up wanting every character from TFP (and those 1st edition figures cost way too much now) but, I just bought the voyager Starscream, with the intention of giving him a more premium paint job and his lanky proportions and smirky expression have re-enamoured me to the shows aesthetic so I guess I’m down for all I can get if IW carries on with this cast! At the very least I’ll have to get Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream and Arcee. Not too much to hope for, right?

I really hope these guys do most if not all of the cast. I'll happily throw my money at them. TAT

Seeing how big and glorious Optimus looks (even in gray), and imagining the bigger, more imposing TFP Megatron figure beside him fills me with glee. This is looking so great!

I was actually working on my own version of a non transforming version of this from the weaponizer prime figure. I didn't get very far before this was announced. Thank you Iron Factory for sparring me the blood, sweat that would have gone into this abomination. I still have a set of rubber duallys pulled from a model truck that I think I'll try and use on this guy.

I love me some TF Prime, but I dunno if this one is for me. The non-transforming thing works for a number of characters, but I don't think it works well for this figure for some reason. I just never felt that TF Prime's Optimus had the right kind of presence to justify a poseable statute.

Also, there's something a little off about his thigh to knee ratio/width to me. It's subtle, but either his thighs are too long, or they taper inward to the knee a little too much - makes him look a little chicken legged to me. Still, maybe the colors will save this guy and he's definitely impressive-looking. It'll be interesting to see if additional Prime-styled figures come out to compliment him.

I'd like this guy to do well, as I'd love more detailed/show accurate figures for the Prime crew and/or some of the Decepticons. Airachnid in particular needs some serious reassessment.

I love the TF Prime designs and would love to get more premium versions of the figures - BUT I'd want them transformable.

I actually think the Hasbro/Takara figures did a pretty good job translating the figures from the screen into the toys in my hands. They are some of the figures that got me back into Transformers and led me down this dark road of rub deals and thousands of dollars spent in plastic.

I hope this figure does well - but would much rather prefer a transforming version.

As an aside - are the 1st edition Hasbro figures really sold for that much of a premium? I've got a bunch of them all boxed away.
