Not new, just repainted. Or molded in different plastic, technically.

Hope springs eternal! I know I'd definitely prefer a headmaster Repugnus rather than a combiner Repugnus. The prospect of some more TR style exclusives is appealing.
Of course, it's worth managing expectations and remembering this is far from confirmed. As with the Toraizer and Optimus Primal Titan Masters this could go tits up.

If anything, I'd wager this may be a Hascon exclusive, much as how Fun Pub used to utilize the previous year's molds for the current year's exclusives.

It's listed at both Amazon and a wholesale distributor. How does this make sense for a Hascon exclusive? Especially when it's supposed to be released next month and the next Hascon isn't until next year.

You do know that with posts like the one above you're just setting yourself up for mockery, right? If you don't believe me I've got this thread about PotP Rodimus Prime that you're going to love.
@Nevermore just posted some signifcant, and discussion worthy, information. Maybe he'll be kind enough to take a photo of himself finding the info on amazon next time?

A same day release via HTS like Grotusque when NYTF starts, with Amazon/Wholesale picking up the slack after exclusivity runs out.

It's fine. Whenever we have a thread like this, we get people posting in it, complaining about the thread getting bumped.

I don't recall a "Toy Fair early release" ever being a thing... Really, if anything, I think these will be more like Quickslinger, Brake-Neck and Groove. But I could be wrong.

Neither was a same-day release like Grotusque until it was. What day is Hasbro's panel this week?

A pain to get intially but now readily available for less than most of the other deluxes in the line? I dunno about you but I’d be fine with that.

My guess is that Repugnus will be a retool of either Blot or Rippersnapper. Probably the latter, as his transformation is pretty similar (insect head tilted 90 degrees to the back, etc). He will likely get some giant claws to replace the small ones Rippersnapper has.

I really want him to have Rippersnapper’s articulated jaw.
