Well deserved nomination, but don't think it will "win"

The movie had some great ideas, some great CGI, fun scenes, but as a movie it was terrible. The 2 minute trailer accomplishes just as much as the entire movie.

While I admit the movie wasn't the best at pacing or writing. I agree with you, the cgi and concepts in it were stunning. I would like to see them wrap this Unicron storyline up with the next movie. Bring in vector prime. Primus, have the Autobots finally win Cybertron. Turn the matrix over to hot rod. Keep Optimus prime alive. And so on. Then I'd like to see a reset of sorts. Flash forward 50 years. Have a new recruit of space trained soldiers. Center on them being paired with Star Saber on the front lines of a space defense force of Autobots and HUMANS. do a three part trilogy with cameos by optimus prime and Rodimus Prime, the human defense forces have transforming space craft, and robot style fighting armor that has a spaceship altmode. Kinda head masters feel. Psychic link up, or something. Human brain wavelength tech. Or what ever. Front line battle with the quintessons. Their combiners. It would be like star wars with transformers, but better.

Then they could pivot and do a trilogy on the earth defense forces and end with transformers zone tropes. It would take the franchise in a new direction. Follow the heroes journey both with the main human crews and their Autobot costars. It would be a great way to stay out of the razzies if done right. Bring in Peter Jackson!

*Sigh* I get that not everyone enjoys these films, but really? I mean, at this rate there is probably only 25-30 people I\'ve seen on these boards who find a sense of enjoyment out of these films. I\'m not trying to pick a fight or cause this thread to go into a hell hole, but jeez man, at least allow there to be one movie thread that\'s positive.

However, this is probably the wrong thread to ask of this...

Great nomination. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

No, The Mummy had far more going for it than the dumpster bots. It was at least enjoyable.

Honestly, it would be a mercy kill if if was a reboot. It's going to be so bad if it's a sequel. Let's see how they ruin Unicron!

Nah, the only thing going for it were all failures. It failed as a straight up Mummy movie and it also failed to set up interest in the "Dark Universe" that it proudly proclaimed it was a part of (and now it will likely be the end of it). It was just bad, even by bad monster movie standards.

I tried to watch this movie for $1 I fell asleep. It's just nonesense... Why even kill Canopy, I don't even care about him, he's nobody. Why do the drones look like Darth Vader's tie fighter. Why are the decepticons a bunch of clowns. Why can Bumble bee disassemble when he pleases. Whatever... The way people interact with them is rediculous not believable. Since none of the characters are compelling it's a snoozefest.

It's for the Bumblebee movie toys and Transformers in the future as a feature. They'll fall apart often and have to be put back together because Hasbro keeps lowering the standards for quality but they'll call it "The Bumblee Magnetism Feature."

If it's one thing I've learned over the years, the last place you want to go to, in order to be surrounded by people are are fans of a franchise is their respective boards.

Because they aren't ever happy and they'll peruse any part of the fandom to find something to complain about.

This isn't just the live action films or even Transformers, but pretty much any fandom that meets behind standard TCP/IP protocols.

    And so it goes.

As bad as it was, I hope they don't win worst film. Winning for ROTF was bad enough.

I used to beg for a reboot , now I think it`s so far in to a story that it needs to be completed...I just enjoy the films for what they are ... And I am wondering how they would present Unicron ....

Well deserved....One of the worst movies this year....I cant even remember what happened in the movie...It was so boring and uninteresting...It takes a real effort to take a something as unique as transformers and make so NOT interesting...Baffling really
I want a reboot only if Bay and Bonaventura get the fuck out.Otherwise its gonna be the same garbage

The main reason I disliked TF5 was because the scene jumps/storyline was sooooo choppy. It was like a child with A.D.H.D direct............. Oh wait, nvm that makes sense.

I'm kind of miffed. TF5 wasn't a really bad movie, and at this point TF appearing at the razzies feels like a meme.

Emoji Movie should have been the worst thing that came out this year, but it seems that movie critics just *hate* the Michael Bay.

While I agree that fans of any respective entity probably set the bar too high for any movie dealing with their franchise to reach, I think it’s safe to say that these movies (the sequels anyway) are genuinely bad movies. Like, genuinely REALLY bad movies. While I don’t know what constitutes the Razzie selection committee, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that that committee is not made up of nitpicky TF fans. And frankly, go back a decade and re-read the reactions to the first movie. There was some TF fan nitpickiness, some legitimate criticism (drunk cameraman effect), but for the most part it was well liked by the fandom and by the public at large. It’s the sequels that get shit on (by both the fandom and the public at large), and nobody can claim that they don’t deserve the shit.

So yeah, fans can be nitpicky and have unrealistic expectations, but these movies (sequels) are genuinely shitty movies and deserve the criticism and jeers. Sorry, they just do.

That's all opinion and not at all the point of my post.
