man, this is jumping the gun to the nth degree, but i'm so pumped for the inevitable mpm jazz. they can pull off wonders with that design at this price point, i'm sure. the HA was really close.
So I hope ratchet gets the next MPM treatment. I'd love to get him and a new Starscream release. Hiding almost all his bot kibble. This will look great next to MPM Bumblebee and Optimus prime. But we do need more Decepticons in the MPM line up.
It's really hard not to see him get the treatment after Starscream next year, its as if Hastak's aiming to start with every characters who survived the 07 film then the ones who died in it.
I hope that doesn't mean Megatron last. Maybe they are going by appearance? First was bumblebee, then prime, barricade, now Ironhide. Which leads to the street side where Sam and Makayla met with all the Autobots. Next would be ratchet, and Jazz. Not sure the order the Decepticons appeared in the movie.
Blackout appeared first (then Barry and then Megs) but my fingers are crossed that they don't jump off course for rotf Megatron or some other "sequel" guy next year.
Where is he going cheap? I've seen him cheap on ebay but worry most of those are scams. The stores I've seen still have him close to the opening price.
Yeah, if they keep the scale going close to what they currently have I'll be happy. As long as Optimus and Starscream are bigger than Ironhide and Ironhide is bigger than Bee and Barry. Peru Kill fits in well with this scale.
Nah, all this started under the 10th anniversary banner of the first movie. If they time it right by the time ROTF comes around for 10years they could release a rengineered MPM 04 with abs, and newer molds of bumblebee, and continue until their movie 1 bots are done.
If people thought ironhide’s proportions were weird...there’s gonna be rioting when ratch t and blackout are released...
Judging by those pics, the truck mode looks more beefy than the slim trim premium gloss edition voyager from the first movie (shown in this collage next to MPM Optimus). It looks like the fenders are wider on the new MPM. I like it.
The question I have is how accurate is this figure in both bot and car mode. If they are taking liberties left and right, it isn't a masterpiece figure anymore. It's a mainline one that is overpriced.
besides the fake bumper and gmc grill on the chest, what liberties do you see being taken with this design? I don't see too many, and the execution looks very faithful and tastefully done for both modes. If you take a look at MP 10 for example, he has a fake grill for the bot mode and a different grill for the truck mode. I think it's done wonderfully well and definitely would not consider that to be a Mainline toy. Comparing the mpm Ironhide to all of the other Ironhide toys we've received, this is by far the most accurate design we've ever gotten. I'm quite fascinated to see where the windshield and the bumper actually go in the bot mode! They seem to have magically disappeared LOL. Has anybody noticed whether or not this Ironhide has the autobot symbol on the back of his collar?
For me, I see that both modes look fantastic, and if I remember correctly it takes about 46 steps to transform. I think those are all positives. It's just that price... Got to find a place that will sell it for a price cheaper than 135 or 140!
