This is the key. I was struggling till I read this. Those wheels don't feel like they move but they do and you have to use some decent force to get them to click in. Once I got that, everything tabbed perfectly. An absolute stunner.

 

Oh ok, I saw the updated pic in the first post and I wasn’t sure what they meant because mine were not budging. Maybe I’ll try again tonight.

 

The rear wheels that is haha, once the front wheels are in the robot mode position that's the correct placement

Not exactly what you want but...

 

Such a big beastly bot.

What are the main irritants that people are having with this figure? I thought he was pretty nice overall. Was it QC issues? Style choices? What's got people's feathers ruffled...

 

Transforming Prime into the core unit is an adventure. Once you've done that properly, you will probably have to pull it back out of the power armor, reread the directions to find that one missed step and try to fold him up again. Then, once you slide the core back in, you'll realize you've popped the false roof panels free.

I strongly suggest planning to buy two.

 

Pretty darn close!! They'll look great together on my display.  

 

The transformation is to difficult for some.
But I love mine jus the first transformation was nightmarish after that it is a piece of cake

 

I honestly can not comprehend how people are having a problem transforming this guy. Its extremely easy and straight forward.

I watched Paik4life's video and for someone who does not like the figure and complained he had issues with it he did a good job transforming it and did it relatively easy in my eyes.

 

I did. Go back a few pages.

 

For me the rage forming and using to much force and not to mention that no free figs we're sent to reviewers can also irratate the reviewer this figure is awesome

 

I give the thing a B+/A- score. It's amazing. Exactly what I wanted.
I know I've complained about the shoulder tabs not joining when making the combined mode, but when you realize it doesn't matter, and you can get him in combined mode without doing that, life gets much better.
I'm so happy with him, that I've put MP-10 away. He's *my* "official" Optimus Prime on my shelves.

 

For this bot, I'd buy 2 as well.
It's a beauty in both bot modes.
It is a masterpiece in its own right...
Just squeezing the cab down into a ball and bringing that Super Ginrai head down between the cab's feet to form Super Ginrai can be a challenge.
But you'll be thoroughly satisfied in the end.
Fans Hobby have given me what I always wanted as a kid... PM Optimus not as a brick.

 

So is this Power Baser a let down?
I had a very high hope for it, but after seeing so many people had issue just transform it, I might need to consider pick it up on discount or not.
