After reading the write-ups so far in regards to first MP's, here's my story.

My first MP was Grimmy when I was living in YYZ at the time. After seeing the pics of him online with the waiter's apron, bartender glasses, and mind transfer device sealed the deal for me as it was an homage to the G1 animated series. Moved back to YVR five years ago, saw pics of MP Roddy Prime when it was just released, didn't pick it up as it didn't suit me (and hearing of the broken knees, shin panels, et all later on was another hidden reason why I didn't pick it up).

MP Convoy V.2 was next in line, picked him up as MP-01, MP-01L and MP-04 was too blocky and pricey for me to acquire. The inclusion of the trailer (also present in MP-04) and Roller even sweetened the deal. Had MP-11 (Asian release) for a few months, got rid of him due to the chest not being able to tab properly, and used the Wal-Scream (used and complete with the cracks on the transformation joint in where the wings folded up) as a stand by until the issues if and when the correction was to be corrected by Tak/Tomy. The Long Life version still didn't really corrected the problem, picked up YM-03 Screamer* (need to get the shoulder pins from my Walscream to replace the one I lost while doing the shoulder mod and the floppy chest missile cover that I discovered at the same time).

MP-13 and the minions followed, snowballed by MP-13B's Ratbat*, MP-18s, MP-20, MP-21G (briefly had him due to the bright gold paint and traded him six months later after loosing interest in him), MP-23, MP-30* (still got to do touch ups) and MP-12T.

*I'm not condoning KOs as I know that some are saying the KO's are the curse of all evils due to the fact that the TT is the real deal and the others are Bantha Poo Doo.

The first pick reminds me of Stanley Kubrick's movie "The Shining" when Jack Nicholson shows off his mug and goes off in a rampage with the axe in the latter ones. I hope no one gets nightmares just thinking about it.

Yes, but I don't own mp-39 so my opinion is based off the pics and the reviews.

And that face. Imo.  

 

The face doesn't bug me much, but the backpack is an eyesore. Partly because its yellow bits are higher than his shoulders so from some angles it looks like he's a hunchback and even weirder, from others it looks like his head is floating. I'm gonna get him at some point, hopefully it's just a result of the imperfect representation of pictures.

 

I absolutely love Sunstreaker. He was delivered this afternoon and I've been messing with him since. Transformed him twice and so far everything has been tabbing together nicely. His alt mode is solid and heavy. Others mentioned his weight compared to Sideswipe and it's noticeable. Very pleased with him. So glad I rebuilt my booth for his arrival. It was worth it.

Way back when TT was designing a playmate for Prime. I wonder what Huffer would look like today and how much of a change TT would have to make to this design.
