Takara usually releases their stuff on the last Saturday of the month, but online retailers typically get their stock one or two days before (Japan time). I would look for an email sometime on the afternoon next Thursday.

Clever use of props and all for the transformation sequence, but Megatron can pull a way tighter Iron Man pose than that. He looks a bit off balance there, and it's kinda detracting from how impressive that setup is otherwise.

 

Thats a crazy awesome haul dude. Its like a kid at Christmas ..only wayy earlier! Gonna be a hellova good fun.  

 

I love the tone of this image, the use of color, lighting, and scenery pieces. The use of G1 Megatron as the mid-transformation stage is a very nice touch.

 

Does anyone know if there are going to be any differences with the reissue coming out at the end of the month? I want to get him and I usually buy everything from BBTS but I don't want the orange plugs. I see Toy Dojo has him in stock but am guessing he is from the original run. Didn't know if I should wait it out and pre-order from TFSource or Captured Prey.

 

How could we know differences if we don't have it on hand yet? The earliest we can tell you is 2 weeks from now.

 

I just wasn't sure if there had been any info out there about the reissue being different in any way. I tried searching everywhere and didn't find anything. I was just checking.

 

I would love to see a version of this in the flat grey and blue Megaplex colors at some point.

Just got email from NY on the “Updated” release date for the reissue now 1/25.

 

Amazon Japan just sent an update saying he should be on my door between the 28th and the 31st. I already have him, but I wanted a second copy of my favorite figure! $180 shipped. Worth every penny!

 

So in an attempt to replace my damaged yelling face ( messed up eye's painting ) , I ordered the MoDel - Model-001 - MP-36 Masterpiece Megatron Upgrade Kit with Light-Up Head
Was hoping that I can pull the eye part out of the face to paint Mica Red on it , but unfortunately , same as the figure , face parts are glued on to the forehead part. Wonder if I should mask and paint , what a PITA.
At least the dimming effect is cool.

 

I picked up the same head...not too shabby! Looks okay turned off too...

 

You can try masking and using on of those paint pens/paint markers.

 

yeah I planned to but currently I found out one nice solution
If you put a piece of paper in the LED slot you can make the light less striking and the eye will light up better since the light spread out on whole paper piece , not just 2 light bulb.
