Glad to hear you like the thread dude. If you're able to figure out some new fan modes/configs please take some pics and share them here. It's always great when someone that has just gotten this set can view it with a fresh set of eyes and see things differently.

 

Haven't really messed around with these guys in a while, but since I have started a thread like this one for MT Quantron,

playing around with that set has made me take down this one again and I found a couple more things.


So I think it has been posted in this thread by someone else how the limbots can use Menasor's feet sort of like a stationary heavy gun,
but I figured out how they can also use the big guy's shin pieces as weapons as well.
I love the way this looks because the gun actually reminds me a little of the gun from the 5th Element. If you've seen the movie you'll know which one I'm talking about, and if you haven't...
then you have a homework assignment because you really should check it out, it's an awesome movie!



In the pic above you can see that CarCrash and LastChance are using the shin pieces, while T-Bone and DownForce are using the feet pieces.



In these first two pics of CarCrash you can see a couple of grip options for the forward hand.



Most of the weight of the gun is supported by the rear hand which just plugs into the connection point that Diesel attaches to.
It may take some wiggling and finding the right angle for entry, but I assure you that it will fit... Sorry, I could barely hold myself together while typing that last line. LOL



In this pic of LastChance you can see yet another grip option for the front hand. It really is just a matter of finding which one works best for each figure.



I especially like the way T-Bone and CarCrash look holding these guns.



Though they all can wield them, it seems on my copy at least that DownForce has the hardest time supporting the weight, compared to the other three.
I'm guessing its because of the way the hand/arm kibble is situated that their hands can plug into the hole in the rear of the gun more securely.
I like to use the "gorilla hands" config on DownForce anyway, so he doesn't really need a gun.

 

One more quick one that I just found is another storage option for Diesel's guns. Of course they can plug into the triangles on the outer part of his "wings" but I found a way to attach it to his back and it sortta covers up the hole in his back.



Looks pretty good from the front too IMHO.



These next two pics show how to connect them. From this top angle you can see the exposed tab on the wheel parts.



The two tabs can slot right into the two triangular holes on the guns. The fit is just perfect, almost like it was meant to be.



I think it looks a lot better than the way it looked with the guns attached to the outer part of the wings. They sat a little too high for my liking and like I said earlier, this way it covers up the hole on his back. So dual purposes being served here.

I tend to arm him with the purple sword from PE's Kingbat, like I previously shared in this thread, and the combined chest shield. So this config works really great for me. Hope you like it too.

 

Gonna try out the shin cannon configuration tonight. It looks awesome.

Yes, I do. It's a fan mode/mistransformation that I favor over the intended config. I do something similar for DownForce as well.

I was just asking because your change to Down Force looks like it would actually aid in balance, while not using Last Chance's heel spurs looks like it would make things harder, especially with that giant gun.

 

Oh yeah, it definitely does balance just fine, maybe even better. But I mostly do it that way because I think it looks better. Seriously though, check out the rest of the thread, and if you find anything you like, please post about it. Also, if you come up with anything else you'd like to share, please do. And pics are always appreciated.

 

After seeing TFao's post a while back about Last Chance's feet, that's my default config now.

I just got an Intimidator. First time with this mold. Looking forward to trying these fan modes.
