What do you think of it? Ive been contemplating buying one.. but to be honest my MP10G is shit house, and KOMP36G is damn expensive.

Found that the battery box is removable without complete separation of the cannon, so I could solder back the wire.

 

Quick question that was probably tackled a hundred pages ago and I just missed it.

I am an accessories junky and I am planning to pick up Dr. Wu's DW-P38 set. By any chance does anyone know which G1 episode the binoculars are referencing? I am trying to figure out if the purple or silver set is more animation accurate. Thanks!

Close up - really hard to get a good photo and to keep the dust and fluff off it!! Most of the edge imperfections etc are just reflections - slight marking to the upper left of the chest plate which i think i could buff out:


2x disappointing QC issue marks - first is on the forearms (on both but this is worst offender) where the sprue was cut and the gold came off. Don't really see it unless you're close - pretty sure i can repair with some paint. 2nd photo is on the back (butt flaps), which you'll never see.

Overall, i was on the fence and it was kind of a drunk buy LOL, but i'm honestly really impressed. It has less paint issues than my official MP36 out of the box(!), and it just looks awesome. All the joints etc are well toleranced and it poses just as good as the official...although i've read it's not to be transformed so i won't even try.

Feet are like a matt gold diecast, and the plastic parts for the joints are a weird matt plastic caramel\gold type colour.

As for practicalities of displaying without being covered in dust and that, i'll build a little display box after i've moved house and got my display sorted out.

I've also got a gold MP01 Prime KO coming to display with him, will post comparisons if and when he turns up!

All in all...can recommend ShowZStore as a seller and if you love Megatron and the MP36 mold and have some budget for a nice bling unique display piece, i think it's worth it  

 

No backplate cover? Any voice clips on the arm cannon?

 

I think it may have been done before the backplate cover (IT version?) was made, so whoever created it couldn't KO it. Don't know about the cannon as it doesn't have any batteries and i don't have any batteries to test.

I think it might be a gold version of the THF one as it includes the extra G1 toy stuff, but there is nothing in the packaging or anywhere to confirm.

Same here. Besides there's a seperate face kit that includes the G1 head for those with IT that want it.
