I wasn't going to post this gal til I had time to do a transformation video but who knows when that will be. :/

    EDIT: It's now!

This is Animated Slash. She is inspired both by the legends scale toy and FP Comera.

She is, as you can probably tell, made from blackarachnia and styrene. I lifted a lot of the detailing from the legends toy but tried to tweak it to how I thought a TFA version of a g1 version of that design would look.

Specifically, the front half of the head is new, as are the dino claws, thighs, head and tail. Big chunks of her torso are augmented with styene to look less spidery but are not new per se.

I wasn't entirely happy with the kibble on either of the other two raptor gals so I came up with this split-tail wing design. I think it looks pretty spiffy.

I will confess her raptor mode is too darn skinny. Not a lot I could do about that. Let's just assume that's the exagerated TFA stylings at work, can I get away with that? :D

For the raptor head I mainly went with a cuter version of the original jurassic park head, head the scowly mouth line and eyebrow ridges.

I'm pretty happy with the headsculpt. The back half is blackarachnia's but the front is entirely scratch built. Mostly its a single wad of apoxysculpt with some of the detail parts added later in styrene and then some lovely blue chrome for the visor. Very happy with that part. In fact I think I'm going to add visors on pretty much everybody from now on.

I think she fills out the team pretty well. I know I didn't get the colors quite right but none of the animated dinobots actually use the same grey or red as each other, so why should mine?

Much like how TFA Grimlock is named for a word he overheard and TFA Snarl and Swoop are named for... nothing, Slash is named for her love of romantic fan creating fiction. She's a very prolific writer, but unfortunately she does write with the intellect and vocabulary of a dinobot.

She can do claw-hand mode, which is good for dramatic posing.

And dinohead mode which is good for looking like an extra from Dinosaucers.

Wow! This is amazing. Great work. I love animated. Too bad that back side is super skinny, hope you figure out a way to fix it if you want to.

I think the gray is perfect. As you pointed out, all the TFA Dinobots have different shades, and matching one of them would probably have made her fit in less than she does.

I love it. Raptor mode legs are a little but funny looking but it works and the bot mode looks like a great animated version of Slash/Comera.

Sexy beast! And she totally fits in with the design aesthetic of the rest of those dinos. Nice job on her claws (not to mention the rest of her), BTW.

This really rocks, her skinniness does work as an animated style like you say.

Leave it to the guy who made custom TFA Strika, Slipstream, Scylla, Hot Shot, and Red Alert to pull this off. If you make a Scorn I'd have to brand you a wizard.

That is super wicked! I love it! Do you still have BA's old spider ass? You could maybe mod it into a dinoback that's attached to the tail assembly somehow, and then flip back and that would cover the dino head in bot mode... Unless you tried that already and it didn't work. In that case.... SMOKEBOMB

    1. This is awesome. Well done. I've actually never liked the TFA blackarachnia mold even for blackarachnia. But this changed my mind and now I'll have to be on the lookout for TFA BA's in ebay lots now.

    2. The dino mode skinny back is actually very easy to fix. The screwhole on her backpeg should roughly be 5mm compatiable. And she currently has no weapon.
Just have a backpack plug into it using BW Wolfgang's shield handle's swivel(with a different handle obviously). This can let it plug into the screwhole and be shaped to fix the back of the dino mode.
In robot mode, just flip the handle around(thus wolfgang) and have the interior be a Magma shield to match the Magma weapons of TFA Dinobots.

You have this... gift... for extracting maximal potential out of that mold.

    Love it.
