Spider-Man May Appear in Tom Hardy's Venom Movie After All "All I’m saying is that Spider-Man—and I’m talking about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man—is going to be in Venom.” Grain of salt here.
Eh... I guess it could work. I mean... as long as nothing in these Sony films directly contradict anything that happens in the Marvel films there's really no issue. Perhaps Marvel/Sony has worked something out? I mean... it's not like EVERY Marvel movie is connected to the bigger picture.
Yeah, I still don't believe it and won't until/unless Feige or Holland officially confirm it. But as of now, despite how utterly idiotic I think a Venom movie is without Parker/Spider-Man aka THE reason Venom even exists at all, I'm in the camp that doesn't see the logic in dropping the PG rated MCU version of the character into an R rated stand-alone movie. It just makes no sense.
It'd be insane if they did that. Not sure how I'd feel really about older Venom and teen Spidey in the same continuity.
More VENOM Set Photos Emerge As Jenny Slate And Scott Haze's Characters Are Seemingly Revealed Scott Haze is rumored to be Roland Treece, the founder of Treece International and a member of the Life Foundation’s Board of Directors. Slate, meanwhile, seems to be a new character created for the film; a Life Foundation scientist named Dora Skirth - though there's always a chance she could be an amalgamation of some established Marvel Comics characters, including Dr. Ashley Kafka.
So, what do you guys think the plot of this movie will be? Personally, I think it will go Like this: At the start of the movie, Eddie Brock is down on his luck. His reputation as a journalist ruined after wrongly accusing a person to be a serial killer (perhaps the real killer is Cletus Cassady?), and his wife legt him after Eddie's descent into depression. However, after somehow hearing about the Life Foundation and their shady business, he decides to out them to fix his reputation. In his investigation, he finds the Venom suit, and unknowingly bonds with it. The Life Foundation sends a team of mercenaries (led by Woody Harrelson) after Brock to retrieve the symbiote. Most of the movie will probably be about Brock on the run. My guess is that those mercenaries will be turned into the other Symbiotes from the Comics to give us a big fight scene at the end. What do you think? Do you think I'm close, or do you have another theory?
VENOM Trailer Has Been Classified; Could Debut In A Couple Of Weeks' Time Ahead Of BLACK PANTHER I don't know how much they've finished, but they better deliver.
VENOM And Carnage Get Some Cool Comic Inspired Action Figures Ahead Of The Movie's Release The toys are comic-inspired, nothing to do with the film itself except that Carnage is in the film.
Yeah, a Marvel Legend Venom wave and some standard 5 poa Titan and 6" figures revealed so far. Nothing from the actual film, but I expect there may at least be a movie Venom in the works as part of the Legends wave considering Marvel and Sony have a good working relationship compared to Marvel and Fox.
From a design perspective they could have used the title as the teeth an moved Hardy’s name to the top or bottom, but that’s just me thinking critically.
Yeah, I've been honestly amazed at how meh all the official "art" / promo imagery has been so far. They really need to up the ante and get some design that matches the tone & rating of this. So far, imo, it's all looked like it's promoting a cartoon that Hardy is just voicing.
I know, it’s the same with a lot of the super hero stuff atm too. Honestly this poster is doing my head in because “tom hardy” looks like it’s not centred (even if it is).
Probably because that one isn't standard poster format that makes it all look almost square. This one looks a bit bett... ehhh... less worse... http://www.impawards.com/2018/posters/venom.jpg
It's got me really curious on what venom will look and sound like. It will be a hard pass if I hear Bane at all. "When The Bugle is in flames, then you have our permission to die."
