My late Christmas gift showed up yesterday, but I'm not complaining. I can't wait to mess with and take some more photos of this guy!

That's crazy. AE's slower SAL shipping should be like SAL shipping from HLJ where it doesn't require a signature. I was under the impression that SAL, while slower, shouldn't require a signature. I guess that's not the case for AE. And unfortunately like @tturbozx66 mentioned, USPS will not let you waive the signature requirement. This is just another reason why I'm using Amazon Japan next time. They use DHL for final delivery (only 3 days shipping time) and you can waive the signature requirement through DHL's website.

What tracking website or app are you using? I know Japan Post won't show further updates after a certain point and you'll have to use USPS.com or 17track.net instead.

My AE package with MP-39 and MP-10B came yesterday but no one was available to sign. The USPS manager let me come by after hours to pick it up. Good thing too because we got hit with snow late last night and early this morning and roads are not driveable now.

Glad you were able to pick the figures up. Both great choices!

There's two SALs registered and unregistered. Registered like any mail registered requires a signature, its like the cheapest form of confirmation of delivery, its why its few $ more than regular/unregistered SAL. That SAL is basically at your own risk no; tracking, insurance, or confirmation of delivery.
EMS is the one you are stuck, a signature is required to be released period by carrier or P.O.. Fed ex you can leave a signature on the door and they will release it. DHL lets you releases electronically.

I have to agree with @Optimus Prime23 I wouldn't say Sideswipe had zero personality at all. Unfortunately he just wasn't more fleshed out and heavily featured like some other Autobot cars like Wheeljack, Ironhide, and Bumblebee. This was a bit of an issue I had with G1 season 1 & 2. The Autobot cars, specifically the Datsuns, Lambos (specifically Sideswipe, and to a certain extent Sunstreaker) didn't get heavy screen time as I would have liked. The greatest exposure Sunstreaker got IMO was his appearance in the episode Hoist Goes to Hollywood.

Wait so did they forge your signatures and leave without leaving your package at your delivery address (attempted theft)? Or did they forge the signature and leave the package behind (like they were in a rush)?
I wouldn't mind them forging my sig and leaving the package at my porch.

Yeah, tell me about it. In addition I didn't have to go in to work today because the office is closed due to the snow and ice on the roads.

She marked mine as signed and delivered but she kept the package in her van.

She kept the shipping box and left your Sunstreaker in the Takara box bukky nekkid and exposed to the elements? Why would she do that?

No, Sideswipe+ she kept the whole thing. Delivered a day or two later after I called DHL and said WTF?! With Sunstreaker, my wife caught her walking away from our house with the package, went out to meet her and the driver told her she'd "accidentally" marked it signed and delivered again as she was heading back to her van with the box. Obviously, my wife got it from her. And no, the driver never opened either.

She may have just been too lazy and unethical to take the time to stop and deliver and decided to lie about it, maybe hoping no one would notice.

If that's the case then the same thing happened to me last month with the delivery of my FansToys Grinder G version. I ordered it from Baba. This time he decided to ship this item using the fast EMS method at no extra cost. However since it went EMS it required USPS to get a signature in order to deliver. I was at work and got the email notification from USPS that the item wasn't delivered due to no one being available to sign for the package. My brother happened to be there and he watched the USPS driver in her truck pick up my box, look at it, then set it back down then she put the "Sorry we missed you" note in the mailbox and drove off. She never even stepped out of her truck. I called my brother and he told me what he observed. I called the local post office and had a WTF moment with them. I told them to tell the driver to bust a u-turn and bring my package back. About 10 minutes later my brother told me she came back and delivered the package after lying to him saying she thought she rang the doorbell. After which he signed and accepted the package and let her know never to pull this stunt ever again.

I could use somebody's camera today and as you can see, I had no idea which settings to use. I had fun nonetheless. :D

That gets me right in the memberries. Nice job!

Awesome. Those little display signs are rad.

Which makes me realize, I've made a display sign generator for work that automatically formats the sign before printing. I should really do the same thing for home for my collection. It's a nice touch of class.

Left out that part. They left the package. I was at work when I got the notification that DHL had delivered my AJ shipment. That confused my because I wasn't there to sign for it but when I saw the signature scan, it just should my name sloppily signed. When I got home, the box was there. That's all I care about. They came 50 miles on the 101 during rush hour and I don't blame them for not wanting to make that drive again because Los Angeles traffic is horrible.

It's funny that I had AE ship EMS first and then ordered from AJ and they came in probably two days apart from each other.

I was being a bit hyperbolic, but I don't know... I usually gauge a character's development by how well I can remember his dialogue, and I can't remember anything Sideswipe said or any scene he was involved in aside from giving Optimus his rocket pack on demand and telling Sunstreaker to make left turns. That's pretty shallow.

Sunstreaker: Can't you read that spell book right Sideswipe? I wanted fortune in my arms, not to be in the arms of a cheap date and a struggle.
