Hello there! I’m sorry if this is the wrong forum to put this in, but I don’t seem to see a better suited area to put this in. So, my Iron Factory Cannon Chariot has some issues with a loose thigh swivel. To tighten this joint, what type of floor polish do I buy and how do I apply it? Thanks in advance! Also, if I put this thread in the wrong forum, please move it. Thanks in advance!

Given how little you need for any given application, and thus how long it will last you, it’s really not expensive. Unless this is the only project you’ll be using it for. If so, you’d probably be better going with superglue or clear nail polish.

I’ll probably use it on some other stuff, but how do you apply it? Using Q-tips

Wash, rinse, and dry the part, try and isolate the peg as much as possible to avoid drip, and dab it on the top & sides. Let it dry overnight, and repeat until you have the joint tolerance where you want it.

For all three of those materials, I’ve used small hobby brushes. For the mushroom peg, you can either try taking out the mushroom part, applying a thin layer of whatever material, let it dry, and then reinsert. Or you can brush it on the peg while still installed. Rotate the part so the fluid is evenly dispersed around the joint. After you’re done applying, keep turning until the fluid is set (especially with superglue).

I've been meaning to tighten up and paint my ragdoll 12" Multiverse Batman, as the the mushroom peg appears too small...

Upon opening it, I noticed that in lieu of ratchets, Mattel stuck soldering irons in the joint.

WTF MATTEL? I wish Hasbro would get DC.

But back on topic, I tried future and it immediately wore down. Gonna go with super glue next.

Waited 2 days. It's a very soft plastic.

Bob Smith Instacure Gap Filler is my go-to. The stuff works absolute wonders and only really requires one application in most cases.
