So about Hound's alt mode, would TT have to get the licence from both Jeep and Mitsubishi or just Mitsubishi?

I don't see why not other than waiting to reveal it at an ideal time. But I feel Jazz is a more likely candidate, he's one of the most popular characters and Prime needs his second-in-command.

I kinda wonder why TT doesn't do a Kup or Blurr to fill the time. Most of the season 3 main cast have Cybertronian alt modes, so there's no need to negotiate likenesses for them.

I just hope next WonderFest will be something good. I mean the next reveal has to have the same type of hype that BW Dinobot got, but not necessarily. I mean Hound, Trailbreaker or maybe a new BW would be enough. Just something like Kup or Blurr would just make me say, "Oh, that's nice."

But Porsche's "No war toys" thing is what is preventing it from happening :(

But that was years ago. Only because Porsche had a past with WW2.

Fun trivia: as a (stupid) kid I didn't even get the reference. I thought "Citanes" was some kind of racing brand. :dunce

That might be one reason for going to cartoon accuracy- perhaps it's easier to get the licenses secured.

That's pretty much the main reason I get frustrated by them.

I'm not freaking out, not yet anyway, but I'd definitely feel better if TT threw us a bone already. Something, anything, to go by.

Sunstreaker is magnificent. So much so, that I won't give TM Hot Rod the time of day. No matter how much you talk him up! ;)

Clearly, you're not too attached to him: you didn't even get Trailbreaker's name right! ;)

    Please, I frighten easily...

Waste of time TT. Never gonna happen. Not with me anyway.

Same here. I assumed it was some European-only tire brand or something. Like most all the other logos. Waaaaaaay back in 1984, we couldn't just quick take a minute to look something up, now could we? :)

Whenever they do announce, it better be Hound, Mirage, TB/Hoist or Jazz....Those are the only ones I'm waiting on. After that gimme Arcee/Kup/Springer, Insecticons and Devy. I'd be cool if that was the end of the line.

Nope! And you know, to make it even worse, when I eventually learned it was a misspelling of "Gitanes," I still didn't know what it was. Back in the '80s there was a popular brand of women's clothing called Gitano, and I got it confused with that! "What, they're advertising women's blue jeans on a race car? Uhhh... okay..." :lol

Waaay back in 1984 I was still learning how to wipe my own bum let alone know what Citanes was referring to. I do now though(Citanes that is)...

In a line that continues to surprise us and evade reasoning at times, one consistency for the past five years is that every September-September season has given us at least one Ark S1 licenced carbot.

I'd very surprised if the same weren't true this year. We might have to wait for Tokyo Toy Show to have it revealed, and it might only get released in January 2019, but it's extremely likely we'll get one.

The only way I see it not being Trailbreaker, Mirage, Jazz or Hound is:
    • We finally get our second licenced minibot instead
    • We get a big surprise release like Galvatron
    • We get an S3 unlicenced car like Kup or Blurr
    • We get a release like Chromedome, unlicenced headmaster
A very small chance that we get Skids too.

Also a tiny chance that we won't get any this year, because TT really want to stretch out the realcar series as long as possible. But that is unlikely because they could do licenced minibots, and they now have the MPM line to cater to that real car market.

Or else maybe we'll get our first Stunticon instead :)

Okay, I just want to share some information I acquired from a what I think is a genuine friend. He did hook me up with a factory copy of Mp39 Sunstreaker here before most were available here in the states. So I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt based on what I was able to obtain to my understanding. Please keep any personal attacks to yourself or in a p.m. I'm just bored, and passing this as "entertainment" and fun. If things go well I will share any other information as I get it. Over the past month I was able to talk more with him and personally, I think he does know something. Time will tell so here goes.

Prime V3 is still being worked on. Set maybe to release in late 2019 or early 2020. Perhaps 35th anniversary? Some details are truck mode appears or does not have a silver stripe, but does in bot mode. Does and will come with movie damage interchangeable part's and head. Alt mode light's are oval and not square/rectangle like Mp10. Or may be changeable like Mp39's taillights. Wheel's hide away in bot mode. He thinks they fold away to the inside.

Legs look very simple and clean, not much detail. Will come with a display stand that appears to hide away in his trailer. And this person Say's a team is working on this. More than Megatron and there is lot's of back and fourth idea's and feedback. He also says 2020 will be a good year for G1 Mp figure's. He says there is lots of talk and whispers of Mp Galvatron being released in the same year. But at this stage that is what they wanna do. I asked about this because I am not a big fan of Mp10. Something to me looks off to me. That is just my opinion on Mp10. I'm not betting the farm on this info. Like I said time will tell. And frankly if it does or does not, no big deal to me. Like I said in the mp39 thread I'm just glad he came through with the Sunstreaker he promised. Again people this info is for fun and nothing more. I'm just sharing. I'm not a insider or claim to be. I dont want the drama. Its just entertainment and speculation discussion. Have fun and thanks.

    April 2016...Ratchet.
    December 2017.....Sunstreaker.

That's almost two years. Did I miss an Ark season one licensed carbot in that time?

Unless Porsche demands for the license that the correct livery is used. Or in other words, the exact replication of the actual vehicle, just like Lamborghini demanded that Sunstreaker was an accurate Countach and not the fictuous super charged custom Countach.

Yep, all the way back to 2013

    Megatron.... is that you? :lol

Anyways it’s pretty much inevitable that there will be a V3 Prime at some point, and he will be more toon accurate.

However I also think there’s a good chance we will see a MP10+ with more toon accuracy and possibly some changes such as the wheels being able to tuck into the legs.

What is for certain is that TT will milk the mold before any update comes out, like the MP01 sleep mode, and last shot. MP10 is what the new ‘real car series’ linked to, with trailer compatibility which then was replicated for MP22 as well.

I don’t believe after such a successful carbot as Sunstreaker they would re-set the biggest/leading character with characters like Jazz and Mirage still outstanding, and a flagship nemesis like MP36 still being so new.

Ultimately, anyone can say ‘we will get a new Optimus Prime’ and within the next decade, be correct. It’s like saying ‘we will get a new Megatron’ back in 2013/14. TT will always release new versions of flagship characters, it’s where the money is, it’s a no brainer.

Oh it was the 1970s in Formula 1 - that would have been tame! At the time you got anything flogged on the side of a car - from condoms...

Thank god TT don’t have to try and get the licence for one of those...

Because it’s not economically sensible. They make their money back on mould reuse and there’s zero repaint potential for Blurr and the only one for Kup is Orion Pax, and I’m not sure that’s a route TT would really look to explore.

I doubt Porsche can make that demand on the livery - that would be down to Martini. Who incidentally are happy enough to see it changed if necessary - see how they remove their brand name and the central stripe for F1 races in countries where alcohol is prohibited -

    E2C39C73-532C-4E0A-9C3A-D1253DF5415B.jpeg

I’m still certain Jazz won’t happen though, on the grounds that TT must have pushed so, so hard for the licence for Binaltech
and they still said no. If it was ever going to happen, it would have happened then.

They did the the same for an Binaltech Bumblebee based on the newer Beetle and VW said no then... Now we have a fully licensed MP Bumblebee Beetle.

    Never say never. :)
