I think it is the lower legs. The backpack hangs down to a similar place on the toon model, but from knee to foot is noticeably longer on the toon model.

FT didn't, they did him 2nd. I've read other replies with other explanations, but my first thought was it allows people to directly see what the competing versions offer with how much FT is ready to show. People are deciding now whether or not to buy the Zeta Air Raid so FT showing theirs off now helps those people decide.

If there are enough names maybe they could do G2 or an SG Superion (Sunticon colors, no idea if there is an "official" SG for him already) their own names to fill out the Top Gun lineup.

There are a few theories from business (hide what they did from competitors) to conspiratorial (hide how bad it is), it may simply be not finished.

You may want to just put that in your signature so it is easy to grab any time you need it.

I'm curious to see how MMC's Bruticus handles doing that. They did show some very basic concept of building everything in but how will that translate to real figures.

Silverbolt is reported to be 25cm, the limbs 22cm (at the head with nosecones taller than Silverbolt at least on Air Raid and it looks like Sky Dive). We don't have an exact number, but Superion has been reported to be the biggest combiner ever, so more than TW Devastator's 50cm but also a few cm shorter than Terminus Giganticus who is 58cm at the head.

 

The toon is all legs and a short body, and those proportions get everything confusing.
I'd like the wings significantly higher than what Fanstoys has shown. Taking the hands and abdomen as reference, in the toon, the wings start spreading below the chest and are hanging behind the hands, something like that or a tad lower looks better to my eyes, similar to what Zeta went for.

Yeah, that's pretty close to what I'd want. Certainly better looking to me than FT's low-hanging backpack. Personally I'd put it a bit lower than you did, with the bottom edge of the fins right at/above the knee, and the thruster exhausts hanging out right behind the knees. Though I wouldn't want any of that to inhibit articulation.

 

There's things I dislike about FT Air Raid that other people have pointed out. I am going to wait this one out.

 

There's a reasonable spot on Iceman's chest. It's not going to be the size of a dime, but it's reasonable. FT at least does a reasonable job of finding a spot, even if they split it half...

 

I loled at how the Zeta guy is looking to his side at Iceman and going like "whut?"

Amazing edits, Im really pondering on getting the FT Aerialbots and have them in there bot modes for sure and have Zeta combined. Cause they look amazing and I dont care that it nails the toon look it just looks like amazing Aerialbots.

It is not just you. I wondered the same thing when I posed it. My best guess is the angle the lights are reflecting at, but that is probably less fun than other people will say.

 

How many of you that have Constructor are going with FT over Zeta for Superion and are not concerned about it scaling with one another?
