Bought a second one...just in case.. 

 

YES! I just got my Transformers Legends EX Black Convoy and is easily one of the best purchases I've done lately.



I'm a big fan of the original Laser Prime toy because he was my first OP and therefore I'm also a big fan of all his other repaints. Car Robots Black Convoy is considered one of its best variants and with good reason since it has a pretty interesting colour scheme but I didn't want to get the previous Deluxe update since it was too small. This one however, is perfect.

This the first time I get this mould and I'm already in love with it. Sure, the jet plane is not so good but it compensates it with solid truck and robot modes, the latter in particular has much better proportions than the original figure and while I'm not a fan of the ears gimmick, they don't bother me that much. The best part is the paint scheme obviously, is such a beautiful work that it definitely deserves its premium status, I would dare to say that is even better than the original Black Convoy in that regard.



And it scales nicely with Unite Warriors Baldigus too. I'm looking forward to more Car Robots updates, still need to get that Legends Sky-Byte/Gelshark figure.

 

So I'm quite angry. I ordered this on the Takara Tomy Mall back on July 4 (I live in Japan) as soon as it went on sale. My Credit Card was charged instantly, and a charge for the amount is on my transactions list and I received a confirmation email for it.
Fast forward to today and I get a 2nd email telling me that they tried to charge my credit card for the figure AGAIN this week and it was declined so they've cancelled my order, and because its a limited order I can't reorder.

My Japanese level is pretty low, so now I need to get a coworker to call them Friday to either send me the fucking figure or give my money back.

 

God, I forgot all about this, and it's driving me nuts given what a huge CR nerd I am. I'm one of those rare apologists for the TR Optimus mold (to the point where I now have him set up as my "Autobot leader" on my display, and seeing him in those old nostalgic Black Convoy colors makes me want one super fucking bad. Shame it's so limited, I had to pass on Baldigus due to finances and I'm probably never gonna see him again either.

That's a beautiful picture. It's a struggle to combine these guys given how great they look with Scourge in vehicle mode.

 

Simple solution. Buy two UW Baldigus sets.

He's an awesome figure. Great colors. I picked him up on bbts and he arrived in mint condition. An absolute must have IMO.

I know this would have messed up his silhouette, but i think i would have preferred Scourge to have used Octane's wings. mainly since those look like wings capable of keeping the jet mode aloft vs the weird rectangular barely there wings of Prime.

 

Got this guy recently (back before around Thanksgiving, I think) and agreed that he's a great figure. Strangely enough, I was never that into black Prime repaints but after getting LG Black Convoy and MP-10B, I'm starting to rethink this. Now to track down a Baldigus/Ruination set.

 

Takes the pressure off me lol.

He definitely is very pretty. Amazing how far a little paint can take a figure. The wheels alone best all other versions.
